What pains me the most is that I fully bought into the "Juice", Sammy Silverman fluff graphics, Mickey Marotti work out warriors schtick, etc.  After the Sparty, Clemson and now Va Tech games, I realize the program has a ways to go before they could possibly be mentioned in the same breath as Bama, Fla St, Oregon,.. Until the Bucks can get a quality win against a decent opponent, the rest of the country will just look at the program as one of the largest midgets in the B1G.  I will still continue to pull for the team as usual for the rest of the season and still believe that a decent bowl game is still possible, but my expectations have been drastically lowered for the next few years as i'm not sold on the current coaching staff until they produce something of note.  Starting to feel like we're Nebraska with some lipstick and shinier unis.

The delusional Wisky fans here in SE Wisconsin seem to think they're ticket has been punched to the playoff after they beat LSU.  I was told that losing Miller was the equivalent of them losing Melvin Gordon for the season.  I had to remind them that this is still Ohio State.  They have a lot of depth at each position and it's not like they still can't win the B1G title with the talent they have stockpiled.  Should be an interesting season.

Agreed.  I think there's little doubt regarding the best conference in College Basketball with the coaching talent involved (Matta, Izzo, Ryan, Beilein, Crean, Smith, etc.)

Hard for me to choose.  Growing up in C-bus, I always pulled for both teams and still do.  It's different with the Browns/Bengals as they're in the same division.

Thank you for this article!  This is a true masterpiece.  Since moving to Wisconsin from C-bus eight years ago for work, it has been difficult to stomach the ascension of Bert and his boys over the last few years as I work with a lot of badgers.  This is the best summary I have seen that showcases the circumstances that were necessary for this to happen.  Hopefully Urban & Co. can provide a silencing blow this fall and relegate these vermin to their rightful place in the B1G.

It was Penn St for me until I moved to Milwaukee 7 years ago.  I could tolerate Biff Bielema and the cheeseheads the first couple of years, but especially since 2010 my life at work has been unbearable during football and basketball season.  They can be quite obnoxious most of the time.

Agreed.  I couldn't stomach going into work a week from Monday if Biff pulls the victory next Saturday.  The delusional Badger fans would never shut up.  They still believe that they would have beaten Alabama with Russell Wilson last year.

I agree.  It was a nice change of pace to listen to Common Man & the Torg on TuneIn Radio online as I live in possibly one of the worst sports radio markets in the country.  The personalities in Milwaukee are atrocious and I can't even listen for more than a few minutes, with the exception of Uecker and he just does Brewer games.  Of course the tweet from Torg was in poor taste, but I don't believe he wished death on Howard and I feel he should have received a lenghthy suspension, but firing him seemed somewhat excessive.  The Fan seems to have a problem holding on to radio personalities anyway over the last few years (Hooley, Benz,....).

Excellent post!  We need to really appreciate this team for what it is.  This is a team with a lot of heart and not a tremendous amount of talent but they go all out every game.  Definitely one of my favorite Buckeye teams.  What a ride it has been so far!

Agreed.  A Herbstreit-Nessler combo would be the best possible team that ESPN/ABC could put together.  I think Nessler is the easiest on the ears in CFB.

Living in Wisconsin, I guess I'll have to call DirecTV now and order the regional sports package in order to get Fox Sports Ohio.  At least I'll get more bang from my buck than I do paying for Sunday Ticket to watch my weekly Sunday Brownies snoozefest.

Being a slow news day, eSECspin is running with this and i anticipate 5,000+ comments soon.  Hopefully this is really much ado about nothing.  I thought the only gray boxes for a while would be happy ones....

Excellent move by UWM!  I still have respect for Andy and his accomplishments at tOSU.  Nice to have another Buckeye in the Brew City.  A few cheese weasels are bashing the move in the local paper, but time will tell.  UWM needed to make a splash and this is definitely it.
