Thanks... that's why I'm a journalism major.
Wheeler had to appeal to the Georgia high school sports governing body to appear in the tournament, so the rules are strict there, but they made a fair ruling on their behalf. If only the OHSAA would bend the rules a bit.
I like Ohio State's chances of winning a matchup with MSU – OSU almost beat them in East Lansing – and Maryland – OSU won in Cbus – more than Iowa running through Purdue and, especially, Wisconsin. Bad draw. Buckeyes have a better chance of reaching Sunday, imo. Ipso facto, better chance at winning the tournament.
Plus, I'm not directly comparing OSU vs Iowa and it's only one spot in a somewhat arbitrary ranking system. Homerism at its worst would be putting OSU at 1 and every other team tied with Rutgers for 14th.
Top targets are Tyus Battle and Kobi Simmons. Scouted/received unoffical visits from Cassius Winston, Quentin Goodin and Daquan Bracey. Battle and Simmons can play off ball, like Shannon & D'Angelo do, just in case they view AJ Harris as a deterrent.
Nebraska is back, down at No. 11. Not sure what happened but it reverted to an earlier version where the entry didn't exist.
Remembered Thad talking about this on signing day:
"I've loved his game from the first time I saw him. He's probably – maybe – the best passer I've seen in a long time, in terms of his vision and in terms of making guys better," Matta said. "You look at Mickey Mitchell and say 'what position is he?' In our system, he can play four positions easily."
He'd be a freshman. Consider his semester/year at IMG like an extension of high school.
