I'm relaxed Bass, everything is gonna be alll riighhtt. I'm getting ready to listen to some One Direction! Ha.
Oyster, I thought the system was installed when the old format was still used. And I have tried to change the way I vote as time has went on but I still hope proper use of DV's continue. I would hate to see the site change dramatically. But then I hate change, just ask the wife. This is just one mans opinion.
That didn't take long. Yeah, one DV every other day over a three year period is definitely a problem. This place is starting to get a little out of hand as more and more people come here. I was told to shut up yesterday after making a simple comment. If everyone is now concerned with DV's, which they will be, look out. It will get ugly as no one will DV for appearance. I stand by my DV's as well as UV's. As with most, it is more difficult to do the unpopular things in life. I think this will cause far more harm than good. Yesterdays clash on the UCF thread will become the norm. DV's get those situations to lessen somewhat. Oh well.
Ok you guys, get a room.
After a couple of 9-3 records and losses to Urban, will the UM brass fell really good about repeated displays like that on the field? The answer is no. And that is what will become the downfall of this one particular savior for TTUN. B1G refs will cause him many meltdowns.
Here's the thing with DV's. Please do not worry about voting ratios. They are the only way to police this site. If you see someone not being respectful, name calling and the like, it is necessary to DV to show disapproval of these actions. If not, the site will suffer. Hopefully, as with endless comments from those wanting on the leaderboard, we do not stop DVing those deserving blasts in order to maintain a certain DV ratio. I make it a point to do this but when I do downvote I always make sure to upvote someone in return. I am also certain someone will take this statement the wrong way but it needed said.
So, beyond the first comment, no one else was allowed to have a thought? Sorry, must have missed the memo. Read your last sentence over and over out loud. Happy New Year! Go Bucks!
Also have to look at the absolute fact that they were not treated favorably in the polls. No one outside of Columbus truly believed that Barrett could do the job. They had to work their way up the ladder. Unlike an SEC team, nothing was given. I cannot help but think if they only had Spence too. Would have been even more fun to watch.
You're right, the third. Forgot all about poor RichRod. But, Harbaugh is a sure-fire winner.
I think this is why Brian Griese stated he wasn't right for the job during a recent telecast with Mark May by his side. The crazy is what would be his downfall. When a guy rubs his own the wrong way, you have issues like he has with the 49ers. Urban rubs opposing fans the wrong way while his own love him. Big difference.
Didn't take long. Here is a sample of what is to come until next season. This came from one of their fans, on one of their sites proclaiming the deal is basically done for Harbaugh. I feel so sorry for Urban and his two national titles won while coaching in the SEC. Urban will probably be so frightened he will be unable to run onto the field for the game. How stupid are these people? Quote below.
"Bring it on Urban. 1-11 Stanford beat what was considered a national title contender in USC. Poor Ohio, I won't even shed a tear."
He is a step up from Hoke as a coach for sure, but as you mention, with zero titles to his name. The UM brass that he would thoroughly piss off in his time there would certainly be entertaining. His ego is second to none and you put that with his off the wall personality, it will end up a zoo. Especially after he gets the keys to the place, and his ass kissed by the minute while he is there could make this a hoot to see. His "Bo" approach will not work today, just as the "Woody" approach wouldn't, but that will not keep him from implementing it. This ploy of giving everything to get a coach seldom works out. I think it will be fun to watch, just beware of the trolls.
If Harbaugh takes the job, the second "program savior", as Hoke was deemed, will be upon us. We may see many more "blood on the field" comments and OSU recruiting letter destruction via twitter. His past coaching successes will be glorified to a ridiculous point. It will be Hoke 2.0. Not to mention Urban will be so scared he will probably quit football. So there's that too. Their fans are sooo delusional and desperate from all the losing, it will be very much out of hand. Maybe he will say he's going to Oakland and save us from their delusion.
Sorry Mel, you don't get another chance. And the only difference would have been a different score with OSU winning. Accept it and move on, you got your lunch packed for you.
I have to think if Jim Tressel had Cam Johnston as a punter he would sometimes punt on 2nd or 3rd downs for tactical purposes.
What the hell are these Alabama "fans" going to do with their lives when Saban retires? There are no more Sabans. There are no more Urbans. Their collective lives will be in shambles. It will be interesting to watch them go back to a middle of the pack team in their league. That is all I think about when I see these morons on youtube, starring in their trailer park productions.
The offense is the Urban Meyer offense. It's the same as it was with BG, Utah, Florida and OSU give or take a few tweaks here or there. It is NOT the Tom Herman offense. He had an influence and did indeed call plays, but the same with the QB's, it is a plug and play offense for coaches and players. The new coach will take on the same offense with the difference being the "coaching" aspect. A good teacher/coach will have no problem taking the keys to the Lamborghini and not missing a beat. No worries. The new coach knows they have the opportunity of a lifetime to become the next branch on the Meyer coaching tree. The line will be long for those in want.
If TCU makes the playoff as it is now, they will get their collective asses handed to them. Always felt and still feel that Baylor and TCU walk a very fine line with the great team mantra. When they go up against truly stronger teams they will be exposed. Everyone acting like they are so good is ridiculous. If ISU had anything that resembled a football team, they would have lead at halftime today. 61-58? Which team can really brag about that game? Just sayin', time will tell if I am full of it or not. It's not like I haven't been proven to be full of it before, just what I see.
That scene was funny as all get out. Poor Chip was severely mistreated! Thanks for not going to Kansas Ed.
Bert Bielima would be a perfect fit. Disliked all around. Plus they could use all those OL they recruited.
Dan Dakich with a killer tweet.
Urban Meyer NOT B10 Coach of The Year??? Morons..that's all I have..Morons!!! No OSU coach has won it since Earle Bruce!! Morons!!— Dan Dakich (@dandakich) December 3, 2014
Never mention the failures, only the victories. Especially on the internet! That really was a good call on the Addazio possibility though.
You are right. Moving TCU to #3 eliminated any chance of OSU jumping them if both win. The only way OSU gets in is with a win and a loss by one of the top four. And then only if the committee thinks they are sufficient with Cardale at QB.
Do not know if it has been discussed anywhere but with TCU being put at #3, it virtually puts an end to OSU possibly being able to jump into #4 with a win. If TCU was at #4, it could be argued that the outright conference champ game victory by OSU would trump them. There is no way TCU will fall behind the Seminoles next week now. The only way OSU gets in the playoff is if one of the top four loses. The committee helped themselves avoid this dilemma, if it were to happen.
Those are two spot on visualizations. Now, will OSU win Saturday and if you could let me know the lotto numbers I can leave you alone, for now. Thanks in advance.
