"Bert is a BIT of a butthole." Think you gave Bert way too much respect here. Bert is ALL butthole.
Think the NFL is by far the better job in terms of being with your family. With recruiting the way it is now, a college coach barely sees his family. He has three kids in his present marriage (2008) with the latest being a son born in 2012. Harbaugh will stay in the NFL.
Too many instances of bad behavior on and off the field. If the rape intimidation thing is true, that alone is enough to write the guy off. Once there are so many issues, he can't say they were all circumstantial and he was not responsible in each and every situation. Too many red flags. They are not all without merit. I for one would not support an OSU guy with all that baggage.
Lewan will BS you into next week given the opportunity. I've seen many like him. Had a guy that worked for me that was the biggest con man in the world. Shortly after he was hired I found out what was going on but everyone, and I mean everyone, thought this guy was the nicest, most polite and helpful person there was. In fact, he was a such a mess in his personal life, which I will not go into here, that a short time later he was in prison for quite some time. Everyone eventually found out everything he said and did was a complete and total con. He was excellent at his job and working with people but in the end it was only to feed his off duty issues. I think Lewan is the same type.
Anyone that has ever had shoulder surgery, I've had three with the last one being a replacement, may feel that a MINOR shoulder surgery only exists in fairy tales. I wish him the best and hope he gets through it as good as ever. He has the best facilities and people to help him rehab, that's for sure.
In my old cluttered mind, the new site is similar to walking into Home Depot to find that particular faucet part you need as opposed to the old site being the small locally owned hardware store to get the same part. Even though you get it, you spend way more time trying to find the part in Home Depot and are wondering why it had to take so long to find one simple part and get out of there afterward. With the local store you are ushered in directly to the part, it is carried to the counter for you, you pay and you're out in a few minutesand are grateful that that store makes it so easy to find what you need. Not to say that couldn't change in time.
Here he is at the Hoke country barbeque with Blue Bayou

In that same thought process, I really like Jeffery Holland at LB. He is as athletic as it gets. Interested in your take on him specifically. He seems to be into OSU but no one has him with interest going there. Crystal ball picks, I know it doesn't mean much, has him choosing Florida (78%) with a few Auburn (22%) picks and that is it. Considering it is very early there is no one with OSU consideration. Can Edwards help to pull him into OSU?
Can see what you mean with the comparison. The way they play may not be identical but in comparison he may be as big a get as Raekwon for this class. He is an intense player, you can see that in the film. Edwards plays the same way. The type of play OSU needs from the defensive side of the ball.
There you go and good luck.
This can't be happening. The crystal ball picks were 85% Auburn TO ONLY 15% OSU. I kid you not.
Recently, the kid that went to Duke, Cash I believe, performed very well. Other than that, none come to mind. Sorry for barging in on the convo.
As we all know, when a kid comes to OSU he is a stud in HS. They all expect to come into the OSU program and make a difference in some way. When it doesn't happen it can become an issue or a motivation. Not saying in any way this was a deciding factor with MM as we do not know for sure. But if another issue is added to a kid not playing, such as an ailing parent, it would make a decision such as this easier to make. Whatever the case, the Mitchells are class people and only hope for the best for Mike and his dad and family.
Yes, it certainly is.
If she would have quickly followed that up with an elbow smash she would have had him, match over. Guess she will use the old slipped on the ice excuse.
Wow. What an impressive kid. He gets it.
What terrible news. Hope his dads health improves and things turn out well all around. Hate to lose Mike and wish him nothing but the best.
Fantastic stuff Demetrius. Glad you get a chance to live your dream. As I have always told my own kids before going out to any sporting event or starting anything new in life, "Make 'em bleed!". (Only in a work hard, give it your absolute best effort sort of way, understand)
You screwed the pooch by doing such a great job with the old site. It was just so easy to navigate and use. Nothing taking your mind or eyes away from what you were there for, succinct is the word that comes to mind. I also was thinking SB Nation upon initial look at the new layout. This site is free and there is NOTHING anyone can complain about. Much work went into this new layout and it is to be admired. I hoped with the second day, a fresh look would result in a different reaction but it was still a work in progress in my mind. It will take some time but the work it took to do this is much appreciated.
He said they were in the top group of teams he was looking at. Not THEE top. In the top 7 or 10 was how he put it. Since it was yesterdays info it is out and around now.
Bobby Carpenter said as much on "The Fan" last evening so I guess he is in on the same conspiracy theory. And he is in the midst of what is going on with the team. If you go on with the Meyer quote he also mentioned Ash calling passing situations and third downs in a really strange way. It was not very clear. If you are in the know, more than say Bobby Carpenter, and are on the inside of the program and know exactly what is going on, say so. Thank you for allowing my opinion and conspiracy theory.
It just appeared too difficult for anyone to answer the play calling question yesterday. Would bet anything it is Ash who will have significant influence, if not final say, on play calling. They are simply being diplomatic and are refraining from putting Fick in a negative light in any way. Ash will have ultimate say in the defensive scheme and play calling in my opinion.
