josh Cornell will be on this list
Probably, the most appropriate article here in a long time - THANK YOU to those who came to Columbus under the difficult circumstances. We all love the 5-star recruits from cities far and wide, but Ohio's sons who show loyalty and grind - we love you too.
All will be forgiven with a win in AA.
THANK GOD AND ANY OTHER DEIETY THAT YOU ARE NOT URBAN
You can't win every game. And no way is les>urban.
Guessing you weren't around during the 90s with Elliot Uz. calling plays?
Tough to make things happen against that D-line - Sparty wanted it more - congrats to them.
Bottom line is win next week and all is forgiven.
If you know anyone w/ a NY state driver's license, they can register in the "system" and get a foursome but he has to play. For out of staters, it's tough to get on without that - there is a "black market" but no one there will admit to it there - believe it costs $200 for the loop in that case but worth it - amazing course. I'd play but I have 3 herniated discs so it's not an option for me. Send me your email and I'll try to get the info to you.
Best to play on Tue - Thurs; weekends are packed and course closed on Mons. Just an fyi, the range prohibits driver so it's tough to warm up; the greens aren't difficult b/c they try to speed up play for us amateurs; oh and the customer service is horrible. But it is a great course, esp when you birdie a hole the pros par!
As a lover of the Black course (easily my favorite), please don't play from the tips. There's a reason, it's one of the most difficult courses around and unless you can consistently go straight 225 from tee, you're in trouble - and that's from the whites! Please don't be that guy - I've played there 10+ times when I was wife/childless living in Manhattan and the slow play is from amateurs who think they are pros.
Also, bring an extra club to 17, it looks like a short 165-170 but after walking 16 holes, you need more length.
It is awesome though; slow with terrible customer service (bring your own water), but awesome.
For everyone who thinks scUM's cupboard is empty, look at the lineup of returning starters. Even though they performed poorly as a team, they were highly rated kids in HS. JH will have them ready to play, especially at the end of November.
The game just got exponentially more competitive and Urban is one of handful of people living, dead, or beatified who can respond well to the challenge.
Bar Coastal (E. 78 and 1st Ave) is a PAC/BIG bar with good wings - split fan base.
Honky Talk on 1st Ave in the 60's is an OSU bar.
How are things with Gallimore (spell?) and are thee other D-lineman we're in on excluding Sweat?
Tressel had not yet been hired
+1,000 on Kwon.
Good luck Noah - this won't be easy but you'll be better if you make it through
Did Michael Hill, Jay Holmes or D. Slade get any snaps?
I guess no one won the pint glasses?
His adversary coordinators were Bollman and Fickell
The spread is not dead, it's contingent upon a QB and OL to provide access to the skill in space. VT had 8 (that's right 8) guys in the box at times tonight - why? BC we're over-rated and can't get the ball to the supposed skill sans 84 in the end-zone (ugh)
You are right that 5 stars are meaningless. Esp with C Grant - Kwon needs to play more, a LOT more.
Tonight was simply UGLY.
I should get four glasses if this happens!
If you're on the Upper East, go to Bar-Coastal on 78th and 1st Ave. Big-10/Pac-10 friendly with great wings and lower prices than around Times Square.
