Never been so glad for a noon start...don't think I can wait much longer.
This might be the greatest photobomb of all time. Hadn't seen it yet. Thanks for sharing.
The only thing that would have been better is if it was Mark May instead of Desmond.
The more I read these comments, the less concerned I am for us this year and the more I am concerned for Brax's NFL future. I hope it all turns out well for him.
Great piece. I think I am actually more excited about this hire than Larry Johnson, and I was stoked about that one.
Thank you, Jeff, for helping soothe my PBD (Post Buckeye Depression). I was there in Miami, then drove that night 25 hours back to NY. That was a long trip.
Grab yourself a nice hot cocoa on me and pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Here's to hope!
Pulling into Sun Life Stadium now with my family -- first ever bowl game! Go Bucks!!
Then a 27 hour straight drive home to NY. Hoping its a good drive home!
Just to be clear, the best bowl record for us this year, or any year, would have been 6-1, with TTUN getting embarrassed.
Proud of Sparty. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
So if Brax doesn't return, who is the "next man up"? Cardale or Barrett? Cardale seems like a beast, but can he pass? Is the potential there for someone to really shine next year? I haven't seen much written about this yet, maybe I missed it.
Going to this game with my dad and two boys. Our first ever OSU bowl game. Nosebleed, but who cares! Let's finish with a record number of BCS wins, even if the system was a joke!
Anyone else here hoping Hyde goes to the Browns?
So Walt, was your inspiration here #5 or #34?
Yes, I believe he did.
I was at that game. My only trip to the Horseshoe that year, and the only one I have truly regretted my whole life. Walking out of the stadium was surreal, like a funeral. It was the first time I ever experienced true PBD - "Post Buckeye Depression"
May UFM be the cure to PBD.
Well, all my mid season BCS worrying took care of itself, just like everyone said it would. I love being wrong.
Question: does this basically mean that no matter the outcome of the B1G game, MSU goes to the Rose Bowl?
Would be nice to see MSU have one last "Sparty, No!" moment left for us.
Love this comment, Tom. Another Clemsoning could prove very helpful.
I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Far-fetched, but if we did have 4 undefeated a this year, could you imagine that playoff??? Wow. Must-see TV (and a major money maker).
I actually wish that the Browns would have given Troy a look after Hoyer went down.
I am bringing my wife and three kids to their first Buckeye game ever Saturday night. 12 hour drive. We will do our part. My youngest is loud enough for all of us.
Too bad Vanderbilt pulled out on us this year. They had a nice win today that would have helped our resume....
I'm driving 12 hours to take my family (wife, 3 kids) to their first OSU game next Saturday vs. PSU...so glad the streak is still alive! Go Bucks!
I would agree with you. The skunk stench of the B1G last year still lingers, but not as strong.
The main thing is to not get sprayed again during bowl season.
So at this point do we forget about Michigan and hope that either MSU or Nebraska win out so they are highest ranked for the B1G conference game?
Seems like MSU loss to ND was better than Nebraskas to UCLA....
This is what I have been asking as well.
25-0 would have to mean something at the end of the season.
Imagine that we don't get the NCG, win the Rose Bowl, then run the table again next year. We could theoretically go 40-0 (I can dream can't I?) and only have had one shot at a crystal football. Really?
Nebraska's loss was pretty ugly, probably worse than NWs to us. Would that matter, if they were both 1-loss? Wouldn't that matter more in the polls? Or is it better to play a different team?
Far-fetched and ironic, but I'll take it!
