I find this law and the entire notion of it to be completely idiotic. 1st of all, the NCAA is not a law making body, and there is no way in hell breaking NCAA rules or "enticing" someone to break them should be illegal. Let Georgia try and put someone in jail for this and this dumbass law will be overturned so fast their heads will spin.

2nd, last time I checked these were 18-23 yr old, old enough to vote, old enough to go to war and kill or be killed, and we just to absolve them of any responsibility to follow NCAA rules. What a joke. NCAA sucks, it's rules suck, but Gurley had a choice.  How in the hell do you criminalize one half of a transaction between two consenting adults?

And how bout Georgia pass some laws to take care of their poverty and literacy rates instead of wasting time on this.

As an attorney the stupidity of this makes my head want to explode.

Cleveland native, Gtown alum. Sucks to see the big east implode, but amazing to send syracuse packing with their lowest point total EVER in a Big East game.  I have tickets to the Big East tourney too, would love to beat them 1 more time.

I didn't think this article is actually slanted at all, I took it a completely different way.  By not following his heart, the article was saying that he didn't go to that was his childhood favorite, which was true.  And they didn't say that his parents told him to go to OSU, the only thing the article said about his parents advice was

"My parents kept telling me that this is your decision, you're the one that has to go play, so don't let other people make it for you"

He listened to his parents by not taking other people's advice, and didn't go with the team he grew up rooting for.

The rest of the article talks about how OSU is a better position to win, what an amazing job Withers did recruiting him, how Withers genuinely loves Bell, and how OSU didn't promise him a starting spot. How many people posting on this thread actually read the article?????
