My family is from Columbus, been there since the 30s. None of us have ever graduated from Ohio State. But generations of us have grown up rooting for the Buckeyes because of how long we've lived in the city. Back in the day when other cities had broadway plays and musicals, all Columbus had was Ohio State football. When it came to the NFL everyone always picked a team, CLEVELAND, Shitsburgh, or Cinci. But EVERYONE rooted for the Bucks.

Flash forward a couple generations to my childhood and shit was fucked up. A lot of really bad shit happened between my parents and they ended up getting divorced. Pops started a drinking a lot and I didn't see to much of him for a long time. Mom had custody of my older brother, my older sister, and me. Mom also started drinking to much. The divorce hurt my mom more than you fathom. It was real tough. She almost lost us.

But. EVERY.FUCKING.SATURDAY. I had one thing to look forward too. Watching the Buckeyes with my big brother. For those few hours we were able to forget all that was going on in our lives and just cheer for our squad on the field.
