Under the old BCS system I'd tend to agree. but with the new panel of judges, that type bias should be filtered to a level where old opinions of conference strength become negligible.
If you beat a patsy by 2 or 3 TD's does that make for a legitimate National Title Contender (NTC), I think no. That said, I do not see FLst getting to the dance nor for that matter Ala. W/O bias, I can see the following semi matches: Ga. vs Ore and TheOSU vs OU. Only way that changes is for MSU to beat Ore. I think the non-conf games will hold a lot of weight with the new panel of judges and the conf games will be scrutinized heavily because there is a great deal of ambiguity in accessing the strength top to bottom of the conferences.
