As someone who has watched a lot of both teams this year, I say Ohio State wins by 5.
Remember the Louisville athletic department's dream year last year? Men's basketball champs, women's basketball runners-up, and that shocking win over Florida in the Sugar Bowl.
I have convinced myself that this is the Sparty athletic department's dream year, and my bracket will reflect it.
Best headline ever?
Just like the Iowa game, didn't finish. Too bad we don't get a chance for revenge in A2, hopefully we meet em in the conference tourney.
The page source is officially my favorite part of the new site.
Check that, just saw Duke is the hypothetical 3 seed. I'd take them over Sparty and us.
If by some miracle we beat Kentucky, I'd have us in the final 4 in that bracket. Which is crazy since I don't think this is a final 4 team. But a 3rd game against a Sparty team we almost beat on the road in the elite 8? I'd be down
Jamarco wants to visit Sparty, we say okay, wait it out, and it works out. Sparty commit Slade wants to visit Ohio State and they immediately pull his offer? Not sure where Dantonio is going with this one, but hey, his loss is our gain.
The team goes through this funk every year, it just isn't always as extreme as it was this year. Even when I was worried, I wasn't really worried. This isn't a national title team, but it's a team good enough to make a decent tourney run.
Pretty strong message to Dantonio to leave our commits alone.
Watch out for the Cats when they come to town. The team has played absolutely insufferable defense this past month and is slowly starting to make shots. They could be due for an Iowa-like rise in the next few years.
The game tomorrow night has the potential to be this season's turning point. Count me as one who doesn't think Iowa is that much better than us. We blew a game against them we should've won to start this slump, and especially given Iowa's (slight) struggles as of late, what better way to end it than against the same team that started it?
I've heard that on several occasions before, and it's still mind-boggling to me. That was one of the 2 or 3 most loaded rosters the Buckeyes have had in recent memory. It was quickly apparent he wasn't going to threaten Sullinger or Ravenel for playing time. Why not wait a year and get an extra year later on?
Tough time to be Rutgers, flip a player only to have him immediately flip back. Bizarre. Sam broke Colorado high school records this year, so that would've been a nice pickup for them.
I have a good feeling about Jamarco staying solid because Urban Meyer. Feel like McDowell ends up selling his parents just enough on Sparty in the end.
Unless Malik would have serious issues at MSU that he wouldn't have elsewhere, and I can hardly think of any possibilities that would fulfill that requirement, his parents should relent and let him choose Sparty.
But hey, if he ends up in Columbus, I won't be complaining.
Communication just isn't his forte.
Bummed they don't have FCS teams on there. Was really looking forward to simming Appalachian State and TTUN...
This is exactly what I was dreading. This offseason will be absolutely insufferable with talk about how we don't belong with the elite. What we need: a competent DC. Not sure if it's Fickell or Withers' fault but with Withers gone I see no reason to make Fickell the full DC. And on offense, with the season on the line, we didn't run Hyde ONCE (talking about the first attempted game winning drive). Tom Herman may not be the genius we think he is. Hopefully these young guys we sign on defense can make plays the next couple years, or we may be in for more of the same. Also, Braxton would be foolish to go pro. What team would draft him remotely as QB? Admire him for playing hard through injury, but he's not ready for the league except for as an ATH. I hope we didn't pull a Mike Shanahan by letting him go back into the game with Kenny G on the sideline.
Clemson tried so hard to give us that game, and we blew it. Yeah that phantom pick on the last drive sucked but with all the mistakes Clemson made we shoulda been further ahead. If Clemson were more disciplined, they'd have probably beaten us by like 20+ points.
Still, 24-2 through 2 years is damn good. Let's hope that with his own players Urban can patch up that D and get us back into the nation's elites, because with that defense we just couldn't hang with a team like FSU.
Bummer, thought we had a legitimate shot at Allen. Now I'm hoping Bama takes Cornwell and LSU takes Kizer, leaving us with Harris and Nebraska with Darlington. But if Harris ends up at LSU, I would gladly take Darlington.
I'd rather pass a kidney stone.
UW was actually an NIT team last year, they won the Pac 12 regular season but were still a bubble team (shows the weakness of that conference). I still haven't watched the basketball team play this year, can't wait to watch this game. Go Bucks!
