Not exactly. Other sports just have less scholarships to distribute, so they play a numbers game. In baseball, programs have 11.7 scholarship to give to 30 players. So some kids may have a 1/4 scholarship while "better recruits" might have a 3/4 scholarship. A stud may be offered a full ride. I have no idea but Davon may have been a stud and offered a full to ride to run at OSU.

There were some tremendous Euclid teams during that era that ran into the then up and coming WIldcats. Tons of talent between the two programs.
