Usually beers that are high in alcohol are best for aging.  Right now I am aging a bottle of Darklord and a bottle of Barrel aged Santa's Little Helper.  Btw , what part of Chicago are you from?  I am in Wicker park.

I would disagree about the Chi-town statement.  It used quite commonly.

Chicago is in my top 5 of best in World.  I would take a few cities before Chicago.

I love Chicago, I have been here for 17 years now.  I am originally from Cleveland Hts, I graduated from Cleveland St. Joes.  I went to high school with Desmond Howard, Elvis Grabac and Eric Riley.

For a list of things to do and see I recommend going to Timeout Chicago or Metromix Chicago. I also recommend using Eater.com for restaurants and drinks

To really get a feel of Chicago, LEAVE DOWNTOWN!!!  If you want the best Pizza in Chicago try Coalfire, thin crust cooked in coal burning oven.

I have lived in Chicago for the last 17 years, I am a native Ohioan.  In terms of Steak houses, I would recommend Gene and Georgetti.  Some of the restaurants that I enjoy are Purple Pig,Bristol, Urban Belly, Publican, Longman and Eagle and Big Star.  Big Star is a very good place to  people watch.   In terms of drinks I would go to Scofflaw, Violet hour, The office, Aviary, Hopleaf,  and Bangers and Lace

Here is a very good website for information about the best restraurants in Chicago.  http://chicago.eater.com/archives/2013/04/09/updated-the-38-essential-chicago-restaurants-april-13.php
