I followed it on ESPN.  I would get on 11W for National Signing Day, but the site looked much differently back then.  I got excited hearing about getting Pryor, and maybe a few others, but the 2013 class was the first one where I specifically got excited about recruits I had tracked for months.  Mostly Vonn Bell and Ezekiel Elliot.  I didn't really follow anything about Bosa.  Obviously that class has exceeded expectations even though it was a top 3 class as reported on by the different scouting services.

I pretty much read every article posted on 11W now, but the 2 that I make a point to read daily is the Skully, and of course the Hurry Up.  Love Birm's updates!!!  I definitely track it more now than I ever did.  Urban and 11W make sure I won't get any work done on NSD.

I like this too.  This sets them up from the very beginning.  They know they'll have to compete for their offer, compete for their position, and compete for starting time.  It's all about focus and dedication, which invariably will lead to future success.  I love the approach, and I'm not sure why a parent of some of these recruits wouldn't recognize that and push them towards the challenge.

33 million human beings watched on January 12, 2015.  The survivors of the nuclear fire called the war the CFP National Championship.  They lived only to face a new nightmare: Alabama getting another #1 recruiting class.  The computer which controlled the Tide, Saban, sent two teams to the CFP.  Their mission: to destroy the leader of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Urban Meyer, our native son.  The first team was programmed to strike at us in the early hours of 2014, before the 2015 team was born.  It failed.  The second was set to strike at Urban himself when he was a young champion.  As before, the Buckeyes was able to send a set of warriors, protectors for Urban.  It was just a question of which team would reach the 2015 CFP first.

His ego will be incredibly humbled on National Signing Day.  I don't see how we could lose to scUM in the next 3 years.

I don't think it's close on Monday Night Football next year.  As was mentioned in the Navy write-up, we spent an inordinate amount of time prepping for that triple option while VT's entire offseason focus was this game.  Sept 6 was really the only bad taste left in the mouth of the guys on this team, and they're bound to want to exact some revenge in an early road test.  I can't wait, I'm going to the game...

Seriously.  All summer I had read that Ed Warriner was one of the best OL coaches in the country, but after this game I didn't think they could turn it around this year.  I started to seriously worry about losing to Cincinnati.  Luckily the schedule happened to set up in a way where these guys got more time to come together before their biggest games of the year.  I think this loss created an intense focus and gave these guys an edge they played with the rest of the year.

Harbaugh should use Charlie Weis' recruiting technique while he was at Kansas.  "Come play for us, we're so bad you could probably start as a true freshman."

I'm excited to see McMillan and Samuel with a full offseason program under their belts.  Webb and Lattimore should contribute as well.  I'd much rather see them on the field than Armani Reeves...

I'm glad they waited until the end to pass out the posters because if they had done it before I'm sure it would have gotten smashed or bent.  At the same time, it wasn't the best experience.  They ran out at my exit, so I went to another, and it was fairly easy to get up to the table and get one, but then people started shoving forward and I was just pinned against the table unable to get out.  Not the best of experiences.  It's a cool poster, and it was free though.  I would have rather they charged like $2 to get in and made sure they had enough towels and posters for everyone.

Herbie was the only ESPN analyst that I know of even before the MSU win that said this team was getting better and better, and to watch out for our offense.  After MSU there were still a lot of people doubting the Buckeyes, but I don't think Kirk was one of them.  I was satisfied with his coverage, even though his impartiality at times gets to me.

I think the defining narrative of the season is this was the first time there was an undisputed national champion.  This team effectively shut out the entire Heisman finalists in consecutive postseason games and dominated their 3 games.  Despite being down 21-6 to Alabama, OSU dominated that game and the others to win the first playoff.  That's what will stick with me, that a team so many said didn't deserve to be in the field, dominated its two opponents and secured its 8th National Championship.

Vonn Bell and Raekwon McMillan might give you pause next year when they're dominating for the Buckeyes.  I hope our Georgia pipeline stays strong!!
