Great read. Such a complex issue. From a players perspective you can't take away the passion and enthusiasm for going out and cracking helmets day in and day out at practice. You work so hard to play on Sundays but don't realize the damage that is being done along the way. At some point maybe the passion for the game outweighs the consequences. Interesting conversation piece for sure.

Go Bucks

Braxton is hitting stride during the most important stretch of the season. Kudos to the coaching staff for preparing him for what could be a very historic finale. Forget Heismans, comparisons to other greats, let's just keep winning, and playing one week at a time. Go Bucks!

Sure the game was ugly but how awesome was it to ride Hyde to victory? The kid has a clear passion for the game and great move by coaches to use that against him during the "slapgate" self imposed suspension. The kid's clearly hungry let him eat. I hope him much success the rest of the season and beyond! Go Bucks!

The fact that he didn't keep walking away regardless of if she hit him on his way off the stage or not is what will ultimately cost him playing time. I would imagine significant time as well. The fact that you think he was somehow defending himself as a 240lb male athlete is shameful. YOU CANT PUT HANDS ON A WOMAN.

Especially after all the undeserved scrutiny on this program already, just saddens me to see this type of behavior from a senior whether he hit back or not he retaliated.

Regardless of the outcome I'd really like to see Hyde sit for 3-4 games to think about his stupid behavior. You just can't put hands on a Woman regardless.

I'd love to see his competition get the chance to prove themselves for the non-conference games since they've shown they are capable of controlling themselves off the field.

Looking forward to some great competition at RB this year.

This is how you win games...Woody Hayes would be proud.

I vote for halftime unveiling of the new regime

I was JUST thining the same thing. You'd think that if you took a new job you'd want to know the future of a major investigation but then again this is THE Ohio State University. This is a droolworthy job for anyone let alone an Ohio boy like Urban. This is probably the best Christmas Present of all time.

Am I the only one getting really excited about this? Why are OSU fans so down in the dumps? Meyer is fixing to ressurect this program.

I'd definately never put Rich Rod and Urban Meyer in the same catergory. Just saying.

It's just a game. If we can all step back and enjoy football for the game that it is then its a victory for all.

I might be speaking for the minority but I thought our team put up a great effort and proved they can compete with Braxton Miller in the game. Realistically, what you expect from a third string quarterback going in to a hostile environment late in the game? If you think putting in Guiton who has even less experience in to the game will solve all our problems you are dreaming.

All things said our team is gaining valuable experience each week and it's up to us to support them each and every week. Our talent on both sides of the ball is there we saw it last night its just going to take some time to come together. Losing sucks but its part of life and our fans need to rally around this young inexperienced team and lift them up on Saturdays at the Shoe. I've never heard a more quiet game than last week against Michigan State. If there is a time for fans to step up their game for their team its now.

The way I look at it is if we can iron out the bad and ugly before scUM week thats what really matters right?

Couldn't agree more. The worrisome thing is that Fickell is now so desperate he will immediately play anyone who might have an edge regardless of status.

If Toledo has enough time to throw the ball it could be more like 14...If they have time to throw. Buckeyes D line needs to have a big game.

My college buddies and I were spending the afternoon at BW3's up at Bowling Green watching the YSU game since those losers at Time Warner didn't carry Big Ten Network and by the third quarter all eyes were on the Michigan game. I'll never forget watching the lone table of Michigan fans sitting in the corner watching their game on a tiny TV trying to drown themselves in booze as the game turned ugly. As to be expected they spent most of their afternoon being the center of attention for a lot of harassment, as should be considering they were wearing Michigan jerseys in Ohio.

After the game was officailly over all the Buckeye fans were taunting and cheering as if we had won the Natl Championship game. I'll never forget the one Michigan fan walking down Wooster (main street) asking cars to run him over barely able to walk. Such a glorious day.
