I gotta say, I was hypercritical of Braxton a time or two myself. However, after watching our offensive line against Navy, part of me is very glad he got hurt this year so he can return next year (not that I WANT anyone to get hurt, but still, I feel like this is better timing). Now, when Braxton returns next year, our offensive line should be stronger and make Braxton look even better.
(also, I agree, Desmond Howard should be silenced with Duct Tape...and I avoid Game Day as well. It usually leads to blinding rage...)
Great article! Thanks for this! Also, gives me some hope for our pass defense this year. Maybe I won't lose my voice screaming at my tv ala The 2013 Season.
I am NOT looking forward to another season of Mark May's stupid, douchebag-ness.
Agreed. Attitude goes a long way to winning games.
awww I hadn't even put together the "JT omen"! awesome. :)
I completely agree with this post! I know Braxton is very good, but sometimes change isn't a bad thing. There were times I got very frustrated with Braxton as QB in the past few years. I'm curious to see how JT does this year.
You know, I don't mean it the way it sounds, but I'm glad Braxton was still recuperating this summer from his injury. Not that I want him to be injured or anything, but I would rather have had them practicing as him being a "tentative starter" than having him practice all summer with no issues as THE starter and then get hurt a week before the first game. At least the team has been somewhat preparing for an injured Braxton.
Success = me not attempting to throw my Christmas Tree through the front window as I was so close to doing after our loss to Michigan State last year. If my house can get through the season unscathed, I'll consider it a successful one. :)
Like everyone else, I was devastated when I heard the official word that Braxton was out for the season; however, I, too, am very excited to see what JT has to offer. Stranger things have happened with a nonstarting QB (remember the Krenzel years?)... So excited that football season is finally here (despite our shaky week).
