I grew up in Putnam County- Glandorf.  Putnam county is no longer top dog in regards to most alcohol consumption in the state. The title is now held by Mercer county which is where I live now.  Coincidence or maybe I have a serious drinking problem??? Putnam came in 5th place this past year.

I also agree that the way the roads are laid out/ defined is brilliant.  I wish every county would go to that system.

Go Titans.

I understand the hate, but I disagree with most of the comments.  This could be great exposure for scUM.  Does anyone remember the first white-out at Penn State?  That was pretty cool looking and I bet recruits thought so too.

I don't know how the bracelets will look considering the stadium will be lit up, it could be a flop or it could look absolutely awesome.  If it does look good, the result of the game doesn't matter but you can guarantee they will get a lot of publicity with highlights shown everywhere.

Michigan doesn't have a September Heisman to discuss this year so I guess they have to discuss how they are the best team in the B1G.  I also don't want to hear it, but let them have their September and I will take Oct., Nov., Dec., and Jan.

See, this surprises me.  When I lived in that state up north, the Michigan State game was the big one.  Granted, this was right before Tress took them to the woodshed so I can understand how things change.  The Michigan State game was the one that gave people bragging rights at the water cooler.  There always seemed to be a lot more smack talking and emphasis on the Michigan State game than any other game.

I wouldn't call Notre Dame a rival.  I would say there was a lot of hatred there because the Domers always seem to have scUM's #.  But a rival??? NO.

This is why I hate getting so wrapped up in recruiting.  Not everyone will pan out.

Based on no factual data, so take this for what it is.  Besides UFM, the other reason he flipped his commitment is because his girlfriend was going to Ohio State.  The fact that his girlfriend didn't want to go to MSU to be with him, I think maybe she was looking forward to the "freedom of college" and she wasn't as vested in the relationship as he was.  So when he came to OSU he ended up getting injured and on top of that his girlfriend cozied up to an upper classman.  Hey it happens to the best of us.

I wish him luck!

He is a troll plain and simple.  He said on College Football Final that he watched Fields TD catch 3 times and it wasn't a catch.

He just does it so he can get Buckeye Nation riled up and have all the Buckeye haters like him.

Ok, before everyone decides to hate on Weis, Urban pretty much did the same thing this Sunday.  The starters went to the Victory Dinner while everyone else had practice.  Urban explained during the season so much time is given towards game preparation, that there is not much time to work on player development for the younger players.

I'm not a fan of Weis, but this seems very understandable.

When I watched Rod against Akron last year, I thought he could be the next big thing.  He is a beast and I would love to see him in the backfield more.  I really hope he keeps on improving and gets more PT by the end of the year.  If he stays comitted and keeps his passion as said above I believe it will turn out to be a great story and his career will be legen..."wait for it"...dary.

I have never been that big of a fan of Hyde.  I do not think he has what it takes to be a great Ohio state running back.

From a fan's perspective I would agree with you.  However, if the staff graded him out as a champion then we should respect what he is doing on the field every play.  The coaches review every play by position.  Us fans obviously see the taunting and missed tacklles.  We do not see what he is doing every play, the coaches do.

In Urban I trust.

I am perfectly fine throwing this year and calling it a rebuilding year to get all the young players ready for our NC run in the next couple of years.  However, if we lost every game because we were getting ready for next year, there would be one game that would be a must win, MICHIGAN!  I don't care about a division title I only care about beating that team up north.

I do not giveaway shit about the contest.  What the hell is going on with the shirt sizes?  Really, X-L is the biggest you got???  Well, I guess I'm done buying shirts.

What am I missing about "The assassin"?  What makes it funny or related to OSU?

Comment 25 Jul 2012

^^^^Reading that gave me goosebumps.  Awesome.

I think the recruits already know what Urban is building in Columbus.  Ohio State has been good for a long time and they are about to get better.  I can't wait until football starts.

Wow, someone's Cheerio's must have been pissed in this morning.

Alex,  Your comment about the power type running backs intrigued me.

"Brionte Dunn, Warren Ball, Rod Smith, and Carlos Hyde will all still be Buckeyes in 2013 as of now...."

That is a very leading statement.  Is there a rumor that one of these running backs is looking to transfer or is possible in trouble?

If anyone was going to be against their son playing college football, it is me.  Because of College football, I had 3 knee surgeries and 4 back surgeries.  The 4 back surgeries confined me to a bed for 3 years and my wife left me.  I live with pain everyday and from a physical standpoint I am limited to what I can do.  Even though this is my experience, I wouldn't trade it for one second.  If my son wants to play football I will fully support that decision.  I love football and it has made me who I am today.

I do believe a certain writer needs to turn in there man card.

I played college football and it was only at the D3 level.  I didn't play college football because of any chances of earning robust sums of cash.  I played college football because I loved the game and the violence that went along with it.  The result of my few years playing college football was 4 back surgeries and 3 knee surgeries.  I was confined to a bed for over 3 years while I was having the back surgeries.  My wife divorced me during this time because she couldn't handle a husband that was never going to sustain a "normal" life.  Needless to say, injuries from football cost me a lot and still physically limit me today.  However, there isn't a day that I ever look back at it and wish I hadn't done it are wished the rules would have been different to make it safer.  If I could have one more play, even if it put me down for the count I would want to do it.

So don't change the rules and I hope the NCAA isn't listening to people that never had any first hand experiences with the game.

Who ever talked about Maryland Football until they had all the different uniforms?  How many college football fans can tell you how Maryland's season went?  Most people talked about the uniforms and the fact is kids do like all the different uniform styles even if some are absolutely horrific.

Look at Oregon.  I never heard anything about the Oregon Ducks until they started getting press about their uniforms.

Ugly or not, the different uniforms get these schools noticed and 18 year old kids that are going to play college football like the idea of getting noticed.  IMO
