I'm stoked for this for a few reasons. I've lived in Ct all of my life and am a huge Uconn bball fan. And being a huge Buckeye football fan, I root for the bball team on most occasions, however this won't be one of them(dv me if you must). I really like the home and home matchup and think its good for both teams strength of schedule. They should be some good games, gonna have to get some tickets!
Let's all hope you're right. Praying for Braxton.
Welcome back Hail, it's been awhile. Hope all your legal troubles get resolved positively. Always a good poster with a rational sense, especially considering your rooting interests.
What's your thinking with Josh Sweat? Realistic shot?
It was actually McMillian and Dixon that practiced with the upper classmen, and either of those two would be great choices.
Excited he's finally visiting, and hope he has a good visit. It's far from over for his recruitment, but getting him some time on campus can only be a good thing.
"what am I on your pay no mind list, kid?" love the goodfellas quote Dump!
Yikes, doesn't sound good at all. Just a shame really, wasted opportunities. Hopefully he can rebound in life and get back on track whether here or at another school.
The stadium already holds 40,000, and It was built with expansion in mind. Filling it however, has been a problem that you pointed out. I think the reason for that is the schedule. Every week, crappy teams come in and offer sub par football. If the B1G had brought the huskies in, I have no doubt the stadium would be filled on Gameday. It was packed this past season when we almost knocked off TSUN, where I proudly wore my #5 Braxton Miller jersey in a sea of yellow aka the visitors section.
If he can manage to lick the crab butter off his throwing hand, Winston will have something to say about how it ends up. But yeah here's to hoping the heisman returns to Columbus!
1) TOSU- duh
2) Uconn - home state school
3) San Diego St. - love that town
4) Hawaii - no explanation necessary
5) Appalachian ..... JK. Prob have to pick one of Oregon, Clemson, Texas, LSU or FSU.
Saw this too. I can only imagine this is good news for the bucks. Wednesday could end up being pretty special.
Nice post Kbonay, looking forward to hearing more tomorrow
So glad my Giants didn't have the opportunity to draft that dirtbag. Would have never been able to root for him without feeling the need for a shower.
Sorry for your loss Hov.
You're thinking of Orlando Hernandez who pitched for the Yankees. He was called 'El Duque'. Pedro was just called 'Petey' by Sox fans. Would be cool if 'El Guapo' becames synonymous with Carlos though
Should we get him a plethora of sweaters?
So glad he didn't make it to 12 where my giants picked, so there wasn't even the option to take that scumbag. I feel your pain
Nice work Mac, thanks for posting. It obviously shows the flaws of preseason rankings, and like you said hopefully the committee will not look at them when they do their own analysis. Unfortunately, I'm sure they will take it into consideration.
I would be thrilled if we ended up with those predictions on the offensive side of the ball! Obviously we all want these guys to start committing, but it will come with time. That would be a great haul! Thanks again Birm, might not be enough to get some of the faithful "off the ledge" unfortunately.
urbz didn't really want him anyways...
I've been clocked in the low 4.4's, when shotgunning a beer that is...
Not really that surprising, given that he hasn't visited yet. There's a lot of big name schools on that list (sans #14), that he has already visited. So I think even being top 5 is saying something. I'll check back after he actually visits and see what he says then. (fingers crossed)
