Baker Systems, the ugliest building on campus.

Ohio State is the largest campus in the world, which means there are tons of nooks and crannies that go unchecked for large swaths of time. There are certainly worse places in the world to strike up residence if you are indeed homeless.

One area man, however, took it to an extreme.

From Michele Theodore of The Lantern:

At the same time that a University Police officer came to watch the video with the two faculty members, another officer arrested the man in the basement of Dreese Laboratories, according to the report. The first police officer and the professor then went to the room the suspect had been entering and found a glass with red wine residue, a white wine bottle (that the suspect said contained urine) and a coffee cup with liquid in it.

There was also a locker that opened with a key the suspect had. The locker contained a “large quantity of clothing and personal items,” according to the report. Those items were removed.

The University Police report said it was clear that the man was using the building as his “base of operations.”

The ole "urinating in a wine bottle" hustle because you don't want to get caught using the facility's bathrooms. Classic ruse.
