My biggest hope is that Thad Matta's legacy will be a good one. It's easy to forget success when you haven't had a lot of it as of late, but the dude built the Ohio State men's basketball program out of the ashes of sanctions and general suckitude, and accounts for really the only cool memories of Ohio State basketball that I have.

That means something, and this week in the Eleven Dubcast, Beau and I take a look back at what Thad Matta was able to accomplish at Ohio State (both good and bad), but with a clear eye on a man who was a genuine pro and a good guy. Matta may have gotten canned, but he leaves no scandal, no whiff of cheating, no bought players or anything else of the kind in his wake, and we're left with the memories of multiple Big Ten championships and two Final Four visits. That's not too shabby, and in this Dubcast we say goodbye and look back fondly on his career.

Alas! No Ask Us Anything this week, but you can continue to do so via e-mail and Twitter. Also, don't forget to rate and subscribe on iTunes!

One last thing: I mentioned on the Dubcast that we're continuing our efforts to get a statue of Woody Hayes put up in Newcomerstown, which is something we'd love for you to be a part of. Check out the info here.

0:00- Welp, kind of a shock, but only if you haven't been paying attention. Adieu, Mr. Matta.

11:36- A lot of what happens next will define the legacy of Gene Smith, and he knows it.

29:58- So what's next? And what are the challenges for any new coach that comes in?

And that'll wrap it up for this week, we'll get to those sweet, sweet Ask Us Anything questions next week, and hey, maybe we'll know who the next guy in line is by then. Thanks to Travis for our sweet logo, thanks to you for listening (don't forget to check out the Dry Goods store on your way out), and we'll see you next time!
