On the DL: 7 points, 7 blocks (J. Davidson)
The new look Buckeyes used a balance attack including a career high 7 blocks from one Dallas Swatterdale to run away from Delaware State 70-42 tonight in St. John Arena.
The true sophomore added 7 points with his swat count while freshman Wil Buford and David Lighty added [...]

Lost in Michigan Week is the fact Thad Matta’s troops begin the regular season tonight at 6:30pm against Delaware State. The game takes place in a real basketball venue, St. John Arena, and can be seen on the Big Ten Network.

Thad embarks on coaching another young team.
While visions of revenge on the Illini dance in your head, the Buckeye hoopsters start their season tonight with a exhibition tilt against NAIA Division II Walsh University, who has already played three games.

No Dallas, no dance
Thad Matta received a double dose of bad news along the baseline in the form of a minor injury an announcement of ineligibility.

There weren’t any real significant developments on the hoops front in the last week but I rounded up a few nuggets for you to peruse.
While you’re throwing down RBV’s or ice cold brews on campus this Saturday, don’t forget about the open hoops practice from [...]

Stop looking up his shorts, you pervs (J. Davidson)
After the chemistry debacle that was last season’s hoops squad, it sounds as if Matta is doing all he can to make sure that lesson is learned only once.
In the pros, I don’t really buy the chemistry excuse because they are paid to perform but at the [...]

Can Crater emerge as the starting point guard?
There were a few hoops happenings in the past week so we’re keeping our promise of sprinkling in some news on the Buckeye basketball front in prep for the upcoming season.

A rare 2 pointer from Diebs
I know we’re in the heart of football season but the hoops squad is only six weeks removed from their first exhibition game and seven weeks from the season opener against Delaware State. This, coupled with Dickie V recently naming Jon Diebler as a sophomore who will have a greater [...]
