Monday Skull Session

It's the early morning hours of December 1st, and I've been dreading the moment I could no longer procrastinate writing this Skull Session all day.

Ohio State defeated Michigan (again), it's going to its second Big Ten Championship Game, my favorite current Buckeye earned a field promotion, and yet it all seems so petty in light of the details surrounding Kosta Karageorge's apparent suicide.

I didn't know Kosta, but I'm sick about this. And I hope for the sake of his family and friends that a full accounting is done of Kosta's last hours, so we can figure out why this tragedy occurred and how we can prevent it from ever happening again.

Karageorge's impact can be seen in the testimonials left in his wake

I could go on and on, but frankly, I don't have the heart.

I will say, as a guy whose life was helped immensely by a few months worth of SSRIs and who lost a friend to suicide: Pay attention to those you hold dearly. The National Suicide Prevention Hotline is 1-800-273-8255. Everyone should take that number too, because I guarantee one reader knows somebody that literally needs a lifeline right now.

And I hope my readers don't hold it against me, but Today's Skull Session will be light. The show will go on, as I suspect Kosta would want, but it will go on after this.

R.I.P. Kosta.
