Ohio State football is back, baby! The Curse of Warren G. Harding is real, lower-tier Ohio state schools. Cincinnati is about to find that out real quick.

JEFF HEUERMAN IS ENJOYING REHAB. Jeff Heuerman was held out of Saturday's scrimmage against Kent state as he recovers from a lingering foot injury.

I don't know what kinda doctor issued this prescription, but I've been feeling a very sharp pain in my foot for about a week now. (For the, uh, initiated, Lisa Ann is a big-time MILF porn star.)

It appears Heuerman is out of damns to give. That's certainly an attitude to which I can tip my cap.

And yes, this could be bigger than LeBron:

Those are the kind of selfless plays you expect out of a captain, to be honest.

CRIS CARTER DROPS KNOWLEDGE. As you may have heard over the weekend, Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson was indicted (and arrested) for abusing a four-year old child.

Child abuse is apparently a subject held close to Cris Carters' heart, and the former Ohio State great delivered one of the most emotionally impactful segments in the history of ESPN's NFL programming.

I'll spare the unwashed of my #take regarding the beating of toddlers, and instead embed another tweet:

Woof.

MIKE THOMAS IS ON ONE. As Mike Thomas' No. 1 fan, this was me during Mike Thomas' 63-yard catch and dash:

Swaggernaut

Yes, it's been months, but that GIF still slays me. I don't think it will ever expire, either.

Anyway, here's Mike Thomas getting love in America's paper of record, The Marion Star

Straight and to the point. Exactly what two of his four touchdown catches already in this young season have not been. He took a modest pass from quarterback J.T. Barrett 53 yards for a score in last week's loss to Virginia Tech. It was the longest reception of his equally modest college career until Saturday, when he took another intermediate pass across the middle from Barrett, made a defender miss and ran 63 yards down the right side for a touchdown that made it 31-0 and put the game out of reach.

Actually, it was out of reach as soon as Thomas caught a 14-yard scoring strike from Barrett less than two minutes into this glorified practice.

"I felt like we were playing angry," Thomas said, reflecting on the 35-21 loss against the Hokies that essentially knocked the Buckeyes out of College Football Playoff contention. "A lot of guys went out there with something to prove. We always have to go out there and play with that same demeanor and go out there ready to make plays and play fast."

Thomas' quest for the crown isn't over yet; I'm waiting for similarly-styled strikes against the Michigan State Spartans before I schedule a coronation ceremony, but you have to like what you see from Thomas thus far.

Hopefully his best is yet to come.

LOOK AT THIS DUNKING #TEEN. This is impressive, Jae'Sean Tate, but you know what's not impressive? The defense played by the white point guard on the second off-the-glass alley-oop to yourself:

JARED SULLINGER PAYS IT FORWARD. Thought this was a pretty cool gesture from the big fella:

It's a shame Sullinger, much like Evan Turner, has been dead to me ever since he signed for the Boston Celtics, which is the worst franchise in American sports.

THOSE WMDs. "It's set up just like the FBI," exploring the NFL's vaunted security system... Amazing aerial views of China's Xisha Islands.. Ian Darke on Lennox Lewis KO'ing Mike Tyson... Testing a bullet-proof vest in 1923... Drew Sharp says Michigan fans must adjust to "new reality,"... Okay, Menez.
