Sooo Jason sent me this email at 12:30 on Wednesday morning:

bossman makin orders

SO WHAT DID YOU RUTHLESS GOONS DO ON MY DAY OF GLORY? YOU MERCILESSLY WRECKED THE DAMNED SITE. NOW I HAVE TO DO SIX MONTHS IN THE CLINK, AND I DON'T DO JAIL WELL.

Seriously, yesterday was like a high school party that ended with a SWAT team swarming the premises and fifteen seniors catching felonies. What happened?

I don't know, but I'm salty.

Unfortunately, I still have a "job," and I guess a part of that "job" is putting saltiness aside and delivering for the streets — jail be damned.

So catch me if you can, police.

TEN-STAR WEDNESDAY AFTERMATH. You might have missed it yesterday since the only site on the internet related to Ohio State athletics was crushed by demand, but Justin Hilliard and Jashon Cornell committed to the 2015 football class.

(Here's the Lord of Whispers' breakdown, and yes, this haul might bode well for basketball.)

... Ohio State is good; I can't put it in any simpler terms. Yes, I might detest the Big Ten, and yes, I might be a curmudgeon barreling towards middle-aged insignificance and mediocrity, but Ohio State — my team — is eternal. That's a bitter pill for the haters to swallow.

MOVE THOSE CHAINS. How good was yesterday's recruiting haul? I'll let 24/7's charts tell it:

#boom

Yes, Ohio State climbed 12 spots (to No. 13) with two commitments. (That's a lot of #boooooom.)

Some might ask "Why would you brag about being No. 13?" as if Urban Meyer and his gang aren't out there grinding, as the world turns, for more 'croots.

THE GAME IS A HOT TICKET. Here's something that won't surprise anybody born after 1930: The Game is the hottest ticket in college football for 2014.

Secondary ticket marketplace, Vivid Seats, just released its 2014 College Football Tickets Report, and Ohio State tops this year's list for the most expensive ticket in college football. Buckeye home games currently have a median ticket price of $211, a dollar more than the price of a Notre Dame ticket. Alabama is 3rd at $200.

The annual Michigan-Ohio State showdown is the most coveted ticket of the upcoming season, with median prices of $561 -- almost $70 more than the next most expensive game when Alabama visits LSU ($494).

The good thing about beating Michigan is it feels just as good sitting on your couch with a grill, refrigerator and mind-altering substances within an arm's reach.

That's just one man's humble #hottake, though. (If you disagree, please let me know in the comments.)

URBAN TALKS EXPECTATIONS. The way I've always dealt with expectations is to shirk them. (Eventually people get the point.)

Thankfully, I am not the coach of Ohio State's football team.

From Zac Jackson of Fox Sports Ohio:

Meyer spoke candidly Wednesday afternoon following his third annual youth football camp at the Spire Insitute, not far from his hometown of Ashtabula. He admitted that Ohio State's 24-game regular-season win streak that started with a bowl-banned team in Meyer's first season "absolutely" weighed on his players late last season, when they lost to Michigan State to end Ohio State's national championship dreams and then lost to Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

"I probably wouldn't have admitted it (late last season) but I felt it (weighing on the players)," he said. "I saw it. It didn't come from our facility. I can't censor our kids or hide them. I'd probably take a little heat for that.

"You have 18, 19-year old kids. And even the coaches (heard it). Even I'd hear it and think, 'Wow, 24 in a row, that's pretty good.'"

Why does Ohio State continue to recruit humans for their football program? Sounds like mismanagement to me. I think robots would do a lot better at handling the chattering of the masses.

GO ON AND RUN THAT, URBAN. Damien Harris is the No. 1 running back of the 2015 class:

Damn, it feels good to be a Buckeye.
