Ohio State held off Purdue yesterday (Kyle's full recap can be found here), and the Basketbucks will take on Nebrasketball today at 2:25 p.m. on ESPN.

OSU lost to Nebraska earlier this year — Nebraska stormed the court, for whatever reason — but I admire Nebraska for getting their program to "respectable" within three seasons of playing in the Big Ten. That's how it's done.

TED GINN JR IS BACK IN GLENDALE. This time, however, he'll be playing for the Arizona Cardinals. This is Ginn's fourth NFL stop and third team in three years, but he's hoping he's finally found a home:

Ginn, who is still only 28 years old, will join a stable including Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd. Coach Bruce Arians likes the vertical game and Ginn has always excelled at running in a straight line really, really fast.

Still wish the Almighty Browns would have taken a flier on him at the behest of Donte Hitner, but that window probably closed when the Bengals refused to match their offer sheet on Andre Hawkins. Best of luck to Teddy Ballgame, who is one of my favorite OSU players in recent memory.

WHAT'S THE RETURN POLICY ON A RUTGERS? I get Rutgers brings a valuable east coast presence to the Big Ten, but at what cost? This happened yesterday:

Louisville could have dropped 125 on Rutgers and probably held them to 20 points if the Cardinals played their starters the whole game.

So yeah, more dead weight is en route to the Big Ten. JUST WHAT THIS CONFERENCE NEEDED.

VONN BELL: FIVE-STAR HUMAN BEING. Vonn Bell tore his MCL and will miss the rest of spring ball, but it's not stopping him from making kid's days:

BRAXTON WANTS TO IMPROVE IN FILM STUDIES. And no, I'm not talking about him becoming a film critic. From Cleveland.com:

... In the meeting room, Guiton was the guy. So while Miller won’t throw a pass during spring football following shoulder surgery, he will make some progress that should help him in that room, not to mention when ESPN analyst Jon Gruden is making him draw up plays for those quarterback TV segments a year from now.

Because last year, while Miller walked the walk, it was Guiton who talked the talk. And it meant that Miller, the guy on the field, didn’t have to be the guy in the meeting room.

“I don’t think he can defer,” offensive coordinator Tom Herman said of Miller’s new role in the quarterback room with inexperienced backups Cardale Jones, J.T. Barrett and Stephen Collier. “I think maybe at times (last season) I deferred to Kenny just because I knew Kenny knew all the answers and made the meeting kind of run smoothly. Braxton has kind of taken that role now and done a great job. It’s neat to see him slide into the role of the old man in the room a little bit.”

I don't like reading about Brax deferring to the back-up quarterback (even if it's the greatest back-up quarterback of all time) during film sessions. I think this rehabbing stint could be a blessing in disguise. It looks like it could be forcing him to hit the mental side of the game more.

I'm hopeful Braxton will pick up some study habits he'll carry into the fall (and the rest of his career). If he has dreams of playing as an NFL QB... it's the preparation that sets the pros apart.
