1. Bert Bielema
2. Tom Crean
3. Stab Eyeout
I vote 3.
"We are eternal. All this pain is an illusion." - Tool
I was about to say the same thing. Just be happy that these choices will never come to fruition.
Columbus to Pasadena: 35 hours. We're on a road trip through the desert looking for strippers and cocaine... and Rose Bowl wins!
This question is the same as: How do you want to die? Except both answers are slow and painfully.
Dear sweet 8-pound-6-ounce baby Jesus, who peed in the pollster's cheerios this morning? I mean what kind of a "I hate my readers" question is that???
Crean can recruit and win....at the end of the day that's what I care about as a fan.
There was not a coach in the country I hated more than Urban Meyer in 2007-2009. Not 1
I think Crean is a good recruiter, but not a great in game coach. There is no reason Indiana was as bad as they were this year. They had probably the 3rd most talented team and instead finished 9th. At least Bert went to 3 straight Rose Bowls.
Damn you DJ, Damn you!
Agreed, I figured that he must be a masochist, but this level of sadism is just uncalled for. I am just glad he didn't save this poll for a Monday.
Lighten up-- it's Friday! :-)
There is nothing more remarkable as learning to think better.
Crean, but only if his respected sport was synchronized swimming. He'd look great in a bathing cap.
"It's just another case of there you are". ~ Doc (1918-2012)
"Evil shenanigans!" - Mac
I don't think there's ever been a more hideous choice of answers to a poll question. That's like asking if you'd rather die by being burned alive in a fire, or from being thrown in a bath of sulfuric acid.
Love the Bert faux pas! 100% going with Crean...even if it was for a football team.
What faux pas?
Bet you can't say "Bert Bielma is a bumbling buffoon" five times fast.
I think Kevin McGuff is doing a fine job with the Lady Buckeyes. No need to replace him with Crean...
"They don't know what they don't know." - Coach Mick
satan or anti-christ. Well, lets see...
I kept looking for the satan option here
Answering this poll almost felt treasonous.
This is one of the hardest poll questions I've ever seen. I thought about abstaining, courteously.
I'm surprised it's this skewed. I think Bielema is the better coach, given that his teams went to three consecutive Rose Bowls without top recruits like Crean has gotten and produced two sweet-sixteen exits.
...and Michigan still sucks.
The last one Bert back his way into by OSU and Penn State being barred from it, so I give no credit for it.
"Because the rules won't let you go for three." - Woody Hayes
THE Ohio State University
three consecutive* Rose Bowls
*Number Three due to Ohio State and Penn State ineligibility.
The Ohio State University, College of Arts & Sciences, Class of 2006
The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Class of 2009
Crean. If you're going to be an a-hole, at least be good at your job.
He's good at his job?
What? Did April Fools Day come early this year? This poll is a joke, no?
Nothin' like poll trollin' to get the natives all worked up on a Friday, amirite?
Speaking of which, has anyone seen Bucksfan's new thread today?
This ain't right, ain't right at all.
I am not the Last Dragon, therefore I do not possess the power of the Glow.
Questions like this violate the US constitution. I went with Crean simply because I like football more than basketball. Plus we could get some nice Sweet 16 shirts out of the deal.
Fan of bacon since 1981
Exactly. This is a football is more important (to me) than basketball analysis all day long.
Really, 26 people have voted for Bert? Really?
"You win with People" Woody Hayes
Choose the lesser of two evils.
Bert is much worse than Crean imo.
I only voted just so I could make the following statement. I would rather share a buffet of ribs with Hoke than see either of these other two coach anything at Ohio State, even though I know sharing a buffet of ribs with Hoke is nearly the same as wanting to commit suicide. Hoke just doesn't understand the would sharing. As usual scum still sucks today and they will tomorrow too.
Actually, you can get in here to make a comment without voting. Just click the link to Older Polls on the poll frame, and you will get a list of all polls, including the current one. You then can click on any poll to see the results and make comments.
There was no way I was going to vote for either of those two asshats, so I figured out how to get in here to make a comment. Necessity is the mother of invention, or in this case discovery. Still like your comment though! An upvote for you my good sir.
Crean's career peak (Final Four) is better than Bielema's (lots of Rose Bowl losses). So I vote Crean, with obvious distaste.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
3. Coaching vacancy.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
So I'm abstaining from this poll
If you voted for Bert, reexamine your life
Worst 11W poll question of all time. I picked Crean because I don't care 1/1000th as much about basketball as I do about football… but I detest both of these guys.
I didn't vote.
I think Bielema's latest actions regarding rule changes swayed me toward Crean in this one. Bielema is trying to change the game for his benefit, not make his team better.
Obviously neither of these are remotely decent choices...
"Death created time to grow the things that it would kill" - Detective Rustin Cohle.
oh hell no 11w, heeeeell no.
Football is complicated...
My thought exactly. Felt like a Sophie's Choice remake.
loooooooooooooooooooooool; surprised it's this lopsided.
Californian by birth, Marionaire by the Grace of President Warren G. Harding.
I voted Tom Crean because having Crean would also mean that we would get to keep Coach Meyer.
