Scholarship reductions, and probation. That's it.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Nuttin'. GO BUCKS!
I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.
I don't see the NCAA throwing the book at Miami. I think they will get some scholarship reductions. They did take some penalties themselves - limited scholarships and 2 bowl bans, although the one year they only had a six win season so it was a smaller bowl.
By rights they should get a lot more than I think they will get. I look for some scholarships to be taken away in the range of 3 to 5 maybe for a couple of years. Might see another bowl ban for a season.
Will be interesting to see how this all pans out!
Their "bowl bans" were laughable. I highly doubt they'd ban themselves if the team were undefeated or 11-2.
Forfeiture of past wins.....they're really going to hit 'em where it hurts. Fail.
Maybe they can strip them of their 2002 National Championship.
Think the NCAA ruled Terry Porter acted alone there.
I don't think the NCAA will ban hammer the like that after seeing the aftermath at USC. I think Miami should be hit harder, but it won't happen. I wouldn't be surprised if they got something along the lines of what we got, just because the NCAA is like that.
I don't like Miami. But I still have a hard time letting current players/coaches disciplined for past violators. Except for Seantrel Henderson, after all his drama, I would like to see him miss an opportunity to play in a bowl.
I get what you're saying...but the problem is the whole abortions, hookers, $ thing is sooo much worse than OSU --- the NCAA shouldn't start this change with Miami, of all schools.
Miami is about as repeat of a repeat offender as you can get.
I'm just happy to be here
probably give them a reach-around
I think that they will get one more year and schollies reductions, but remember Miami already gave themselves 2 years of loss of bowl games.
The punch line of the longest running joke ever.
I'm definitely really interested to see what kind of punishment they get. In reality, what went on at Miami is probably 10 times worse compared to what happened at OSU. I will be very disappointed if their punishment at Miami is less severe than what OSU got. I bet it will be though..
It seems like the NCAA just makes up the rules as the go. The inconsistency of such a major organization like this continues to baffle me. So who really knows what's going to happen with Miami?
