Aren't they all a risk? We can all name players that were hyped and ended up as complete busts. Conversely, we can all name great players from no name schools who were never heard of until they hit the NFL.
May you R.I.P. Otsego, but know this. Gaylord Rocks!
Sure, but some people have more proven physical and football tools. Doesn't mean they always translate to the NFL or that they'll continue to work hard once they cash that first check. But I think you can clearly make a determination of who (at this point) seems to deserve to be there and who does not. Those that don't are the bigger risks.
EJ Manuel may have some upside, but usually people don't draft QBs who aren't perceived as NFL ready in the first round.
I honestly do not see any of the QB's as NFL ready, and that definitely showed in only Manuel being taken. He was a risk, but what other QB really would have been a better choice?
I went with "Other." I'm just not sold on Buster Hymen.
I don't know, as far as running back go, I think he hits the hole hard.
I'll go with Wango Mango...beast or bust.
"It's just another case of there you are". ~ Doc (1918-2012)
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
I'm feeling the "bust" vibe from Dion Jordan. Has never played 70 snaps in a game once in his career.
Same with Matt Elam. He is way too batsh*t crazy.
The offseason begins when your season ends. Even then there are no days off.
Its the quarterback. Its always the quarterback.
Italics are for emphasis.
I say Ziggy Ansah. I just can't trust a guy who only started 10 games at BYU.
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.
Manuel was just too up and down at FSU.
He should be sending a thank you note to Kaepernick.
Other, D.J. Hayden.
That POS my 'Boys drafted from Wisky. Frederick.
He won't be a POS when he's an all pro Center in a couple of years.
The draft isn't a science obviously but I think these are potential busts:
Mingo, Jordan, Anzah, Manuel.
He wasn't a 1st rounder but I have a feeling that Geno Smith is going to have a rough time in Jersey. He'll be on another roster in 4-5 years.
