PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
I said yes in that he can play >70 games at 20+ minutes/ game (I'd consider that a full season).
I haven't read Titus' book yet, but I think I read an interview with Oden in that he rushed his rehab way too quickly in Portland. The fact he is taking off all this year means he is taking it seriously with respect to his rehab.
35 hours to Pasadena! Go Bucks!
I agree with you, hopefully with a full period of rehab he can play a full season with meaningful minutes on the court.
“There are some people addicted to alcohol, some people are addicted to gambling,” Luginbill said. “Urban Meyer is addicted to football, and he’s addicted to winning.”
Just FYI, the only thing about Oden in Titus' book is some examples of how he is a huge nerd.
Along with something else that's huge.
LOL at your comment! Unfortunately for me, my girlfriend had heard through some interweb source some time ago about his third arm and just HAD to google it. Thus ruining my sexual confidence in spite of all her reassurances! FML
"Lets beat the shit out of Michigan".... Urban. Frank. Meyer.
I think you meant to write his third "leg." Hence, his nickname, Leg Oden.
I hope so. Go Greg! I just hope it's not with the Heat - who I refuse to watch because of you-know-who.
I would like to think so. The guy just wants to play ball, and I think he's taking the proper steps to do so.
Voted with my heart this time. C'mon, Greg.
I too voted with my heart, and said yes. Such a good guy, I really hope he makes it. It was smart of him to take this much time off to completely heal and be ready. This is obviously his last chance at making it, so hopefully all the stars align for him.
I hate to say it but I think Greg Oden will go down as the second worst draft pick in NBA history and I think Portland made both of them. The worst was taking Sam Perkins over MJ and then this one taking Oden over Kevin Durant. That said I really do hope he can make it back.
"Fate has cards that it don't want to show"
It was Sam Bowie out of UK, but close enough. (Sam Perkins I think played for the Super Sonics, among others; he did play with MJ at UNC).
It was Sam Bowie that was picked ahead of Jordan.
Don't get me wrong; I like him and he's a great guy and you can't predict injuries but in pro sports it's all about performance and you can't perform if you can't play.
I hope he does he deserves to have many healthy all star seasons even if it is with the heat. That's how nice he is.
If I had my way - they'll make a movie about all that he went through to finally have a brilliant career.
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
