Used to listen to Mike & Mike all the time, couldn't handle Golic's incessant obsession with all things Notre Dame coupled with Greenberg's similar fascination with the Jets. It's since been replaced with NPR's Morning Edition, at least I learn something listening to that.

I go with The Dan Patrick Show. He's from Ohio, but not is not a homer; and I find him to be hilarious.
Also, I picked Bama, but I want ND to win.

Being raised an Irish fan (prior to seeing the light by the age of 15), I'm inclined to cheer for the Irish and certainly will. It also doesn't hurt that I hate the SEC and Saban and don't care to see Bama win it's 3rd championship in 4 years. I also have a friend who's neighbor went to Bama and wears the SEC colored glasses. It's nice talking college football with him because he is knowledgable, but the homerism for the SEC shines through brightly so rooting against Bama is almost necessary to combat the
stereotypepersonality.Bama. I think Gene said it first. The number two always wins.

Always remember folks...not too many (including some of our own fans) gave OSU a chance in the 2002 NC game against the mighty Miami U (who just won the BCS the year before). I'm going with the Mid-West...I'm not a big fan of the Gold domers btw. However, I'm Irish and assuming I should go with my heritage over the whore's from the south. Stop the SEC talk tonight ND...do it for all of us in the North. NO MORE SEC BSC Champions!!!! Well...why do I keep getting the feeling that all this I just typed was a waste of time;-)

the only way i see it is if bama wins, we can beat them next year.. if notre dame wins....we get to beat them next year. i would like our team to be the ones to end the streak of the SEC, but if not, oh well

I can assure the Domers already think that and one year won't undo the SEC is king thinking anyway. To be honest, and I'm trying to set aside my bias as a fan, an OSU throttling will undo the SEC domination rhetoric way more than any other team. I want Bama to win because ND fans are already insufferable, I don't think we need a title to pump them up more. Then let OSU beat the bejeezus out of whoever they end up playing next year and then we can begin talking about a power shift. Personally, I just think it has to be OSU that starts the process.
ND fans drive me insane and I'm surrounded by them. I don't know how many facebook posts\tweets\texts I've gotten from friends\acquaintances that say "ND's Baaaack!"-to which I respond "OSU never really leeeefffft!"

Brewter's, I heard this on a sports talk show a few days ago on what would be more insufferable... ND or 'Bama winning. Compelling arguments, but they settled on ND more because it was a national brand, and for 'Bama, it's near peak if not at peak. ND has a potentially higher ceiling in that negative light.
But those chants of S-E-C and the Paul Finebaum radio show... the SEC needs a lesson in humility. I don't care who does it at this point. (As I have mentioned in the past, full disclosure, I'm a ND fan).

"Rooting" for ND to win in that I am not actively rooting for ND to lose.
I want the SEC talk to end, but the two non-SEC teams I really don't like are ND and TSUN. Well, and PSU and Wisky.
I guess I've hit the point where my disgust with the rampant SEC talk over-rides everything else. The taste of ND winning would be like the taste of green nyquil, but if its effective in treating the malady then you do what you have to do, I guess.
Oh, and for the record, I voted Bama. I want ND to win, but if I had to lay money it would be on Bama.
If ND wins, then 3 out of the 5 Week-15 top-10 SEC teams will have lost their bowl games in which they were favored.
So, I am rooting for that. I don't hate the Irish as much as so many others. I hate them, but not nearly as badly as I hate how an entire conference gets credit for what a few teams do. In that sense, Notre Dame is the complete anti-SEC. ND's success is strictly on ND's own shoulders. They can't coattail on anyone.
Do I like ND? No. Do I want to cheer for them? No. Do I hate Bama/the SEC way way more? Yes.
Lest we forget, FDR had to ally himself with Stalin in order to defeat Hitler by waging war on the western and eastern fronts.
So yes, I am rooting for the f*cking NOTRE DAME FIIIIGHTING IRISH to win tonight. Sometimes MORALITY takes a backseat when there are greater forces at work here. The SEC MUST BE STOPPED AT ALL COSTS.

I totally agree. I am watching and can't root for either team. When it comes to scUM I ALWAYS ROOT AGAINST THEM! In my lifetime there have been less than 5 times where I didn't root against them because it helped tOSU which is as far as I can go to not root against them. So I find myself in the same situation. I can't root for either team but I find myself NOT rooting against Bama because I KNOW it's going to be tOSU that ends this abomination of SEC dominance.

Try being a Buckeye fan living in the Southeast. I hear sooooooo much of it! And I can't even talk about a win vs. Arkansas anymore. One more year of $EC! $EC! $EC! Then next year, the team that it could be argued got the $EC dominance started (tOSU) is the one that stops it.
Exactly that's what I call JUSTICE!!! The Defense will have a lot of work to do get to that point but with out schedule it will allow us the opportunity to get on a roll. I believing this time next year I will be at my 3rd BCS Championship and this time I see a win for my Buckeyes! Championships aren't won in the off season but they surly can be lost so no messing around boys! Go UFM! Go Bucks and beat scUM!
