PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Two blondes were driving to Disneyland. The sign said: Disneyland Left... So they started crying and headed home.
Funny one...I'm sure some tTUN fans will be here actually asking that question.

"I love football. I think it is most wonderful game in world and I despise to lose."

It amazes me that Johnny "Football" Manziel is not in more Heisman discussions. A freshman in the SEC with those kinds of numbers?
If and it's a BIG if but, if he leads the Aggies to an upset at Bama he WILL BE.
My sentiments exactly. He hasn't shined on the national stage yet, he needs a marquee win.
Agreed. The kid is ridiculously talented, but has been bottled up in the second half in both his big games against Florida and LSU.
Also, why the heck are people voting for Kenjon Barner? Kid is fast, but he's a system RB with an all-star surrounding cast who projects as a dynamic punt returner at best in the NFL. Collin Klein, I respect, AJ McCarron, absolutely not. Did anybody see the 10-yard cushions the LSU secondary was giving him that final drive?
"There is a force that makes us all brothers, no one goes his way alone." --Woody Hayes
I voted for Barner, he is from watching the ducks clearly what makes that offense tick. He does have a great cast around him but so does every other heisman candidate, without Barner IMO the ducks offense would greatly suffer and teams would not respect the running back on the read plays just focusing on the qb.
I'll take Braxton. He's got moves sicker than pneumonia & I'm a homer!
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
Upvote for admitting you're a Homer.
Gladly until my blood stops running Scarlet and Gray!
Up vote for the up vote & Homer Simpson of course!
I XBrax 360 because he make an amazing play or five in every game.
Also, there is no way the buckeyes are 10-0 without him.
True. The criteria for winning is to "epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work." Not whosoever can garner the biggest media circus....Te'o..cough...cough....
"We hate to lose, but when we do, rest assured we'll be back, and someone will pay the price." Coach Hayes
I hate the fact Aj is being brought in this discussion. I'd argue he is not even the best player on his own team, but because he is the Qb of the undefeated No.1 team he is automatically in the discussion. It's just like when Jason White won the Heisman over Larry Fitzgerald. It's garbage.
Braxton for sure is a legitimate candidate but no way is he the best player in college football. The things he will do next year when he has complete control over the offense will be ridiculous. Next year there will be no hesitation where the ball is suppose to go on passing plays and his option reads will be that much better. His stats in the 2013 season will be worth winning a Heisman. Regardless, he is a year away.
Colin Klein is a really good player but not the best in the country. I still haven't figured out why ESPN is pushing this kid so hard other than the fact he is the QB of an undefeated team.
Kenjon has been a beast and so has DeAnthony Thomas.
We all know the only reason Manti is getting attention is because he has a good story and he plays for Notre Dame. AND the fact ND has no star on offense. If they had an offensive star he never would have been brought up.
College football this year is lacking the bonafide star it usually has, but for what it's worth these are just my thoughts. I know we all have our own.
McCarron isn't even the best player on Bama's offense, let alone on his team. His name being metioned for Hesiman is a clown show.
Hey, I resemble that remark:
I had to pick Braxton because he is the most exciting player in college football to watch imo.
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Miller, hands down. He makes sick ass plays every week, if not once a half. My thoughts on him being passed over this year is there are no guarantees next year. He could get hurt next season and be out of the race before it even starts. The other thing is this, his domination could be looked upon as common place next year. "That's just Braxton being Braxton, we saw that last year." I know he isn't complete, but for my money he is the best player this year. We aren't 10-0 without Miller running the show.
"Say my name."
My heart says Braxton but the country and ESPN don't love the Buckeyes like they love Optimus Klein, Mantai T'eo or even Barner. If K-State goes undfeated I think it's a lock. If they lose .... who knows what is going to happen.
The next two seasons are almost certain to have B. Miller in the talks from the get go, of that we can be certain.
What does ESPN have to do with choosing the Heisman winner?
E X C E L L E N T Q U E S T I O N !! Listen to and watch for how much they hype Te'o, McCarron, and Klein, no matter how much other players' stats or importance to the success of their teams (*cough* Braxton) exceeds these three's.
"You might outsmart me, but you'll never outwork me"

I didn't homer out and pick Miller but choose Klien instead. Any one remember Geno Smith?
Insert witty remark
Yeah, he put up some big numbers against bad teams like Clemson and others in the Big East. So what. And then there is Gino Torreta, more garbage. He completed a lot of passes ineffeciently (57%-had to crib wiki) with 19 TD and 7 picks. Where as Troy Smith dominated and had 30 TDs and 4 picks. Same thing.
It's just like when Jason White won the Heisman over Larry Fitzgerald. It's garbage.
It's just like when Jason White won the Heisman over Larry Fitzgerald. It's garbage.
Who's Jason White?
Who's Gino Torretta?
Wasn't there some guy from Nebraska that won named Eric Crotch?
Vick Freshman stats (3rd heisman):

Rushing: 108att 585yds 5.4avg 8TD
Passing: 124/218 56.9% 1753yds 14TD 6Int
Rushing: 184att 1166yds 6.3avg 13TD
I don't think Braxton will win, but he definitely deserves consideration (and possibly a $100 mill contract)
LMAO...he's not ready for the NFL. He can't even read simple defenses in tB1G. I would almost give you a "Common Man" on that 100 mill contract comment.
Well it turns out Vick still isn't ready for the NFL, either. So they really are pretty similar.
Yep... More pointing out that Vick has always been overhyped than saying that Miller is ready to play on Sundays. I am not too sure that Miller will be a QB at the next level, but we shall see.
He's got a long way to go. The speed of decision making is slow for a big time college QB; he'll need to really speed that up to get a look at the next level.
Homer vote. and I don not care.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
Anyone notice that these hesiman voters seem to go out of their way to not mention Braxton as a frontrunner? After Geno dropped off, they jumped everyone and their grandmother over Miller.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Actually Braxton jumped to #2 in many polls for a week or so, but dropped after he left early in the Purdue game. Once you drop in the Heisman race, it's hard to climb back up. Brax most definetly deserves an invite but he makes way too many mistakes to be the Heisman winner. If it were based on who makes the most highlight worthy plays then he would win hands down, but thats not what wins you the award.
Klein, Barner, Miller, McCarron, and Te'o (I swithed Miller to 3rd bc I think we go 12-0). I go with the "experts"...because they're the ones voting.
Got to be Manziel if we are being fair.
This was Barkley's race to win at the beginning of the season. Too bad USC has lost 3 games already because I could have gotten behind that campaign. I've always like Barkley.
Braxton will not win, but just the same, I look forward to watching his highlight show at the Heisman ceremonies. Kid can brake ankles.
I don't understand why McCarron is one of the Heisman front runners. Yeah, he hasn't thrown an interception in idk how many games. But for him to be a front runner, especially after the LSU game, with those stats?! Yeldon made that last TD, NOT McCarron. Does anybody else see it that way too or is it just me?
Yeah I knew the second Yeldon ran that in that ESPN had finally found something to push as McCarron's "Heisman Moment", even though it was ALL Yeldon.
Basically, McCarron is on the list because people see that they're the #1 team, so they think someone has to be a Heisman contender. Same reason Manti Te'o is being hyped so much. "Notre Dame is undefeated? Who the hell on that team can we hype for the Heisman then? Te'o!"
@BSTP, any rational person agrees with you. Unfortunately, the Heisman has little to do with rationale these days. Most of the time (not all, just most) it is going to go to the best player on the best team, or at least the best player on one of the best teams.
In this day and age, visibility is more important than stats. Someone above asked why someone was mentioning ESPN at all in this discussion; in addition to having employees who get to vote, the candidates they pimp are the ones that will get votes. Barkley was their #1 until USC stumbled and fell off the radar. They (the media, ESPN) moved on to Geno Smith and his ridiculous numbers until their defense turned out to be flag football players. Now, with nobody else putting up the HUGE numbers that require them to mention him (maybe Barner), they default to the best player/leader on the teams at the top: Bama and MCCarron, ND and Te'o, Klein and KSU, and to a lesser extent Miller and OSU.
I really hope Klein puts up some big numbers and wins if Braxton doesn't, because McCarron winning would just be the latest "meh" winner of a trophy that seems to be losing it's identity.
I also, am hoping for Klein to win out if Braxton doesn't get the award. If McCarron wins, it will be because of his backfield and Wideouts. Just watching Braxton and Klein bail their teams out and put them on their backs just amazes me that much more. I really hope Brax or Klein claim it...
Craft for heisman! I voted other, because I honestly don't know who should win it. My homerism pushes for Miller, but he's not the best player in the country. Heck, if Te'o is on there, why isn't Shazier on there? This season is just weird for heisman.
Klein is the frontrunner, but I can't help vote for Brax
Nice. That's how you make a point!
That is a tuff one to call... lol
If I had a vote it would without a doubt go to Klein. The guy is really good, and his team is really good, and he's probably more valuable to his teams success than any other player(including Braxton) in America.
I voted for Braxton based on his 'potential' over the next two games coupled with the chance that Mc Carron, Klein, or Barner's teams might lose over the next three weeks. As of now, it looks like Klein is the man and Barner looks real good but KenJon Barner isnt exactly a heisman-quality name. Braxton Miller rolls off the tongue much better and if Meyer unleashes the offense's full potential against Whisky and michigan, Braxton can very much be a part of the discussion.
"Get him a body bag, Yeah!"
