Does Kenny Guiton see the field Saturday?

Kenny better see the field Saturday. He should be rewarded for essentially winning that game for the Buckeyes. He deserves a series or two, and one should come in the first half. Meyer should do this because it is the right thing to do.

Braxton is not under any threat of demotion. Everybody knows that.

He might see the field because Braxton has to come off for a play or two, but I don't think Kenny "deserves" to see the field just because of what he did against Purdue. Against Illinois? No problem with it. But, we roll with our main gun on Saturday from the first snap (sentimentality be damned).

It's just my opinion. If I was the coach(and I'm not), I'd do the right thing.

No, Kenny G should only see the field if we need him. This game is going to take every posession we can get. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be on the field, but Braxton is our best chance of winning and he needs to be on the field at all times. I'm not bagging on #13, but throwing him a bone on Saturday is not the answer. What if he throws a pick six that winds up being the difference in the game? We wont be too happy then. Kenny understands his role as the no. 2 behind Miller, it is about time we do as well.

I agree with you Doc, we can't take the chance of putting him and risking a turnover. Maybe if we're up by a few scores in the second half we can but we need Braxton to be Braxton and our D to step up.

Who knows what PSU's D is going to see from Meyer & Herman? I'm guessing that Meyer is going to come out with some shit that doesn't exist on game film. So yeah, I think Guiton will get playing time Sat. He might be QB with Miller lined up as a receiver. Or vice versa.

Also, I'm going to predict that the Buckeye D comes out with its hair on fire. Meyer is going to want to silence that crowd. And the best way to do that is to make the Lions look out-matched right from the start. Punch them in the face and then keep punching.

Remember guys. This isn't Meyer's first rodeo.

Meyer did say if Kenny and Braxton were in there together Braxton would be the running back.

I voted yes mostly because Braxton gets dinged often enough where Kenny needs to come in for a least a few plays. Assuming Braxton doesn't have an off day, he will stay in the game as much as possible.

I dont really know if he deserves to see the field but I do think that he should depending on how sore/hurt Miller truely is. I know Miller was cleared but there is no way he is 100% after last week. I think that Guiton proved he can handle the pressure and that he can go in the game off the bench and give Miller a break and to confuse the defense.

Does he see the field? Yes. For one reason or another. If he does have to come in hopefuly it's after a BM 80yrd run and it's another Red Zone TD for The Old Right Hander.

I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.

Personally I hope Kenny doesn't see the field. I think if Miller is healthy you have to go with him. I don't think two qb systems work well. We need braxton to get in a rythm and hopefully build some of that confidence that Kenny seems to have.

Yes, I have a feeling this will be the game that you may see both on the field. The coaches have talked about it before and now that Kenny G. proved his worth with that come from behind victory last week. I've always been a firm believer that if you work hard in practice and then prove it on the field you deserve a shot (and not just a back up role/shot either).

With the injury issues that this team has, I would be shocked to see KG and Brax on the field at the same time. We're a roughing the passer (let's say it's KG lining up under center) and another horsecollar (let's say Brax is split out wide) away from Cardale.

It would be nice if we beat them unrecognizable within 2 quarters & Kenny could go out & throw to his hearts content because OSU was up by 45 by the second half. That's a lot to ask - but that's my wish.

If Braxton's healthy and ready to go, which is the indication from Meyer, this will be no different from the other games. Braxton will start and play the entire game, since I expect this to be close to the end.

I'm with the camp of "he'll play since Braxton will probably have to sit out a play or two".

Kenny G will come in score a TD with the O and Braxton will be back out on the next possession.

I would love to see both of them lined up in the back field. That would be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

Meyer always says that he wants his Percy Harvin, I wouldn't be suprised to see Miller fill that role with Kenny G being the pitch/pass man from time to time. Especially considering that Miller is the only guy we have who is anything close to "Harvinesque".

That situation scares me, and not just because of last week. I cringe every time he takes off and doesn't have a easy route out of bounds to avoid a hit.

Then again, I'm an old school guy who believes the QB needs to be protected because he leads the team.
