Did anyone see the "dream team" special on NBA tv? Magic and Bird were the only reason there was a "dream team"
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
And Magic and Bird being retired is the main reason I don't watch the NBA anymore.
"It's just another case of there you are". ~ Doc (1918-2012)
The Dream Team was a perfect passing of the torch from Magic and Larry to Michael. Magic and Larry built a great foundation for the NBA and allowed their next (and greatest) superstar to take the NBA to the next several levels.
Make no mistake about it-the Dream Team belonged to Mike.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
lol no mistakes made brewster he was the star.... However, Jordan was going to decline until magic and larry joined.... thats why i said without magic and larry there wasnt a dream team... Mike even said himself the only reason he did it was to go against magic everyday in practice. If you didnt get a chance to watch it... do! its one of the best documentaries ive ever seen... My fav part is where they talked about how barkley was the most loved over there because he would go hang out with the people when he wasnt playing... Then john stockton getting off the bus and walking amongst the people without them knowing was priceless
I've seen it but I wonder if I missed the part about Michael not joining if Magic and Larry didn't. I do recal the part about it being either Isiah or Michael and Scottie but not all three. That was pretty awesome.
It was right at the beginning, or towards the beginning. Would be easy to miss if you started watching a little late.
"I'm having a heart attack!"
yea it was right at the beginning, mike said something along the lines of i was trying to think of a nice way to say no, i was playing 36 holes of golf a day
Ahhh ok. Then I'll certainly agree that but for Magic and Larry you'd only have had the very very very good team. Add in all the pieces and its easily the best compliation of talent ever put together on a basketball court....
Other than the 72-10 Bulls of course :D
