To take this poll one step further... I only kept up with recruiting about a handful of times during Tressel's entire tenure, zilch before that. But... since Coach Meyer's hiring, I can't seem to get enough! Not sure if this is credited to my ever growing lack of interest in the NFL due to the overpaid, under achieving athletes on the field or the fact that I'm older and more intrigued by the X's & O's of college football in general. Nonetheless, it's hard for any true fan of their selective team not recognize the success of their particular coach, especially if that coach is hired by a University(tOSU) that's held to higher standards than most! Urban Meyer's accomplishments both on and off the field with these teenage kids is, put simply, nothing short of amazing! And, I for one... can't wait for the 2012 season to begin! GO BUCKS!!!
I always kept an eye out but now Eleven Warriors is the very first site I go to every morning while I drink my coffee. I look up the players mentioned on the web, watch youtube videos, go to the sites of other schools' fans to see what they're saying about the player, and just generally live on the edge of stalking.
Tressel was a legendary level coach who did great things for us, but I'm already having more fun with Urban as the coach.
I watched recruiting really close for about the last 10-15 years. Since I have been reading 11W, I have been obsessed with recruiting and all things tOSU. I thank you so much for all your work, but my wife thinks I have an online sweetheart because of all the time on spend on the computer.

Bee Tee Dubs, I never used to watch out for recruiting. I just found out about 11W from a buddy about three months, I now visit it daily and am obsessed with recruitment news.
Bout the same. Recruitin' is the life blood of anything in life. Most important process to keep any enterprise goin' in the right direction. As for the apotheosis of UM and his staff, they are just 5 & 4 star recruits that ain't done nothin' at TOSU yet. This bunch of ESECPN and former Domers got to prove to me they belong on the field at our house. We spend our time condemin' the ESECPN and then we go out and hire one of their worst offenders.HYPOCRISY!
Worst offenders in what regard? I can only assume that you're referring to oversigning in which case you're woefully inaccurate. The SEC is known for oversigning in general but Florida has not been a player in that regard. Do a little research.
i've really taken an interest over the past three years or so last year i got really into it and was facinated by how it all turned out, but since Urban's hiring its been like crack!
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.

Yeah.... what this guy said, lol!
Before this year the only time I paid attention to recruiting was when Pryor was out there.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

I've been a recruiting junkie for a long time. What I'm interested in seeing is how this new staff coaches up the existing talent.

I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

About the same, which is very little. Going back and looking at the recruits the past years, only a handful really have much of an impact.
And it seems to me that the number of stars a recruit gets is more related to what school they choose than actual ability.
