Jdadams01 7 Nov 2011, 7:30 am Part of me wouldn't mind because it'd be like them taking Bo or Moeller. But then I'd throw up and run head first into a wall. faux_maestro 7 Nov 2011, 8:06 am 33-7....and that's all I have to say about that. Your mom told me she wants a Dicken Cidar. RBuck Mod 7 Nov 2011, 9:41 am He'd die from trying to eat the turf at the Shoe. Long live the southend. BrewstersMillions 7 Nov 2011, 10:59 am The dude is probably going to win his second National Title in 5 years. He recruits like an absolute maniac, and if he came to OSU, it would be because UM Slighted him. Imagine the lengths he'd go to beat up on them... I'd say yes a million times if I could. The guy, for all his toolishness, is one of the top coaches in the nation. Conroy 7 Nov 2011, 11:28 am Miles is one of the few coaches that projects the same kind of charisma Tressel did. You can tell that his players absolutely love playing for him, and he is a great recruiter. I would love to have the hat at OSU. flipbuckeye 7 Nov 2011, 11:37 am Dude is weird. I voted no. Hell no, to be exact. But Brewstersmillions makes a great argument. btalbert25 7 Nov 2011, 11:41 am I actually kind of like Les Miles. I think he's pretty funny. Have you ever heard the press conference with the old man reporter that brings up the Erin Andrews video? It's hilarious. The reporter is about 85 years old or something and he and Less Miles were going back and forth it was really funny. buckeyedude 7 Nov 2011, 12:08 pm I say yes. He may be an MU alum, but I believe he is from either Lorain or Elyria. And he isn't as moronic as Brady cHoke and his "I don't even have any red in my entire wardrobe." If he's getting paid to do a job, I think he'd do well in C-bus. If people are OK with Urban Meyer as an OSU coach, why not Miles? Except I don't think he'd take a move to another college. I think he'd go pro. M Man 7 Nov 2011, 6:28 pm Elyria. Ohio. Three and Out is both instructive, and inscrutable, on the subject of Miles. GlueFingers Lavelli 7 Nov 2011, 11:56 pm Hard to find many players or coaches at Michigan that were not from Ohio. From Bo, to Woodson.... the list could go on forever. We got Krenzel, and Gholston..... that's about it. Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball. Buck_Michigan 7 Nov 2011, 12:54 pm I think there is zero chance Les would even consider leaving LSU for OSU. First of all he is Michigan Man and unless OSU throws truckloads and I mean truckloads of $$$...why would he want to leave his success in the SEC and LSU? If Les was still coaching at lower level school and was looking for his break then I could see it but LSU is certainly a solid football school and Les has been very successful there. I know OSU is considered a top 5 coaching postion but honestly what would he have to prove here? He has one national championship and may be on to a second at LSU. Why come here other than for more money and I suspect he would rather enter the NFL than leaving to another college football team. I think Urban Meyer is a more realistic hire than Les Miles is. 2012 Beat Michigan Tail gate: UFM: "Let’s beat the sh*t out of Michigan, have a good night." jfrank373 7 Nov 2011, 3:59 pm First, Urban Meyer once coached at Ohio State, lives in the state, and has said OSU is one of his dream jobs. Second, not only is Les Miles a Michigan man, but he has the entire state of Louisianna on lockdown for recruiting. And, Les Miles is a Michigan man. I love him at LSU but want him nowhere near our beloved tradition at OSU. Not to mention, he's a MICHIGAN MAN. What the hell, seriously. Buck_Michigan 7 Nov 2011, 11:25 pm Also people forget Meyer got his masters degree from tOSU as well...whether people like or not he is a Buckeye. 2012 Beat Michigan Tail gate: UFM: "Let’s beat the sh*t out of Michigan, have a good night." TheHumbleBuckeye 7 Nov 2011, 11:56 pm ^This. Whether or not people want to accept it, Urban Meyer has a degree on his office wall that says Urban F. Meyer III was awarded a Masters in Sports Administration from THE Ohio State University, in Columbus, OH from university president Edward H. Jennings in June of 1987. As someone born and raised in Cincinnati, whose father attended UC around the same time as Urban - I can tell you my father has always thought the world of OSU, and I'm sure Urban holds his OSU degree as a higher honor than his UC degree. OSU will always be part of Urban Meyer. His degree will always be on that office wall, as sure as that portrait of Woody Hayes hangs in his basement (for those who have seen his ESPN segments filmed in his basement). But something tells me he's going to Penn State. He's always been close with JoePa. I hope it's not true. But we shall see. BrewstersMillions 7 Nov 2011, 4:04 pm If the powers that be have a shot at any big name coach and pass on him because of his alma mater, I would lose a lot of faith in..well..the powers that be. Miles isn't an OSU candidate we all know that, but if he was and OSU declined because of his ties to UM, they'd be catering to the lowest common denominator of OSU fans and that is how losing programs replace winning ones. I don't care where the dude went to school, if OSU pays him to coach OSU, he'd be more than willing to kick the absolute snot out of his alma mater every November, and OSU would be better with him at the helm. Again-He isn't a candidate, leaving LSU is a fools move if you ask me, but if he would be available, OSU would be foolish to pass on at least trying to get him. Michigan man or not. GlueFingers Lavelli 7 Nov 2011, 11:49 pm Miles wouldn't coach OSU. Michigan really missed out on Harbaugh. Hoke is doing fine. I don't want Urban Meyer. I'd rather keep Fickell than get Meyer, or just name Chris Spielman the head coach for motivational purposes, and keep the current staff. All we need is an offensive coordinator. That's it really. Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball. Party Liquor 7 Nov 2011, 8:42 pm Hell no. Even Jerry Sandusky would be able to recruit kids to LSU, right now. Les isn't the reason kids are signing with that school. Even their fanbase believes he is a joke and is riding the success of his athletes, rather than coaching them up. A multitude of factors, highlighted by oversigning, are the secret of his success. And with media constantly s'ing that conference's d's, why wouldn't a stud athlete want to be a part of that. The SEC West that is. They won't talk about what's going on in the SEC East right now though, fyi it's a fart fest. faux_maestro 8 Nov 2011, 12:02 am Hell no. Even Jerry Sandusky would be able to recruit kids to LSU, right now. It would take a guy named PARTY LIQUOR to say something like this.... Your mom told me she wants a Dicken Cidar.
