I f*cking hate the SEC.  I'll be rooting for Oregon almost as much as I would if it were the Bucks playing tonight.

I thought Auburn was going to dominate, then I watched Stanford play and destroy Va Tech, and got to thinking maybe Oregon is that good this year.  I think they have a shot.

But Va Tech dominated FSU who clobbered South Carolina. I think who ever shows up wins.

Well I guess, just seems that Va Tech had been playing very well and had a lot of momentum coming into the Orange Bowl.  Stanford gave Oregon their best shot and Oregon responded pretty well.  I didn't think Oregon was for real, but perhaps I underestimated them is all I'm saying.

I just hate the long layoffs. I think you really negate the impact of the regular season.

Head says Auburn -- the SEC has owned the championship games and without much of a fight from other conferences.

I want Oregon to beat them and would prefer that they beat them by a large margin but  I want to enjoy the game.

It is difficult to type what you think while on a conf call btw.

lol, to me it would be seeing a good game if Oregon put up 60 on them and won by 5 TDs lol.

I just don't see how a team that finished with 5 losses and a squeaker win over Northwestern in the Outback Bowl in 2009 overtakes a team that finished last season 10-2, won their conference and went to the Rose Bowl, and used that momentum to go undefeated this year.  We've got what amounts to a new team up against a team that's been on the Big Stage before.

The SEC might be 1 or 2 teams better than all the other leagues, but we all thought the SEC was down this year and the bowls haven't done anything to contradict that.  Simply stated, I'm not giving Auburn the edge just because they're the SEC champ.

Yeah, a 3-loss Alabama trucked a Big Ten also-ran Michigan State that was clinging to a special year when they missed Ohio State.  And yeah, Wisconsin forgot to bring an intelligent coach with them to Pasadena.  But the Buckeyes showed that the top talent in any conference, even the embattled Big Ten, can certainly smack around a 10+ win SEC team.  Everyone made a big deal about all the ranked teams that Arkansas team beat, and how OSU beat none.  Well, it didn't frickin' matter.

Oregon needs to be itself.  This is basically a rematch against last year's Ohio State team, and they need to treat it like it's their 2nd chance.

He's a monster. They're easily a .500 team without him.

I've been guilty of saying, well we heard the same stuff about Oregon last year.  or Oregon got figured out this year toward the end just like last year, and every other weak comparison that was out there.  Only thing is, this isn't last year.  This Oregon team has been much more impressive this year, I think, and is a better team than the one we faced in the Rose Bowl last year.

Not ashamed to say I'll be rooting for Auburn in this one.  I guess I'm in the minority on that one.  Yeah it's the SEC but we did our part against the conference, so I don't care.  It's mostly because I'm tired of the bandwagon front-running Oregon fans who couldn't name a single player on the depth chart a year ago.

I think Auburn wins by at least 10 but since I hate both teams, I'm just hoping for an exciting, high scoring game.

I'm shocked to see Oregon leading the poll by nearly a 2 to 1 margin.

I'll bet the first responder an 11W t-shirt if they want Oregon +1.5 because I just don't see the Ducks pulling it off. It will pain me to semi-cheer for Auburn but I could use one of our "the pennant" shirts.

The question wasn't who do you "hope" wins the game nor was it who do you "think" wins the game.  I'm guessing people are going with their heart for the underdog on this one or going with their hate for the SEC.

I went for Oregon after watching how awesome Stanford looked in their bowl.  It may  not be the best logic, but damn I really thought Stanford was over rated and they totally surpised me.  They looked legit and Oregon schooled them.  Again, it may have no bearing on how Oregon will play against Auburn, but it definitely makes me think Oregon wasn't just the benificiary of playing a bunch of teams with no D.

Didn't Stanford play VaTech?

Though I can't stand Fairly, the Auburn's D-Line is sick... That said, I think Oregon is much more improved than when we played them last year and they'll be able to get the ball out in space to make the Auburn pass rush meaningless and Auburn's secondary has been horrible.... add in the tempo that the Ducks play, Auburn will be reaching for the oxygen tank before halftime.

I think it's close a good game and the score is close for the first half, but the Ducks pull away in the second...

As if Jim Delaney needed any more embarrassment with the new Big Ten logo, "Legends and Leaders", and New Years Day, the Big Ten will be officiating tonights game.

The winner of tonight's game will be the spread (zone-read) offense. Enjoy the future.

I also have a prediction, the winner of tonight's game will be the team who scores the most points.
