Top-ranked Kyle Snyder cruised to another NCAA semifinal with a blowout victory against Minnesota's No. 8 Michael Kroells on Friday afternoon by the score of 13-7.

Snyder dominated from the neutral position, but Kroells negated the riding time from the top position and prevented the major decision.

In not-so-great news, Snyder appeared to have injured his ribs against the much larger Kroells, but he will advance to the semifinals on Friday night.

Snyder will face feel-good story Jacob Kasper of Duke, who entered the weekend as the No. 4 seed. Kasper was never a state finalist in high school, representing Ohio's Lexington High School, but he'll be on the big stage on Friday night on ESPN.

In the other semifinal bout, Virginia Tech's No. 3 Ty Walz (a St. Edward grad) will face Wisconsin's No. 2 Connor Medbery.

The semifinals will air live on ESPN tonight at 8 p.m.
