The Big Ten Network announced its television schedule for the premier wrestling conference in the NCAA, and the Buckeye wrestling team will feature prominently on the network’s premium programming this season.

BTN demonstrated its commitment to wrestling by scheduling a huge number of dual meets on BTN and BTN Plus (Big Ten Network’s subscription service).

The Buckeyes will be featured live on BTN in matches against Michigan (January 9th) and Penn State (February 5th). In addition to these duals, fans will be able to catch the Buckeyes on BTN Plus, which will allow for streaming of the matches, both at the time of airing and later.

At a glance, only three dual matches featuring the Buckeyes will be unavailable through BTN or BTN Plus. Of those three non-broadcast matches, two of them take place in northeast Ohio.

Ohio State will travel to take on Cleveland State on November 24th and will host Michigan State at Walsh Jesuit High School. The only untelevised (at this time) Big Ten match for the Buckeyes will be when they travel to Illinois  on January 3rd, which could feature Hunter Stieber’s triumphant return into the lineup following elbow surgery.

In addition to the regular season action, BTN will air all three sessions of the Big Ten tournament, including live action from the finals on Sunday, March 6th. Much like the NCAA basketball conference tournaments, the wrestling tournaments feature some frenzied action as competitors vie for a spot at the NCAA tournament just weeks later.

BTN will also be rolling out a weekly show, Big Ten Mat Attack, which will air some of the dual match action from the previous weekend on Monday night. Big Ten Mat Attack will debut on January 11.
