Ohio State is in Las Vegas this weekend playing two games as part of the South Point Shootout. Up first was Liberty, which the Buckeyes downed 75-65.

It was an ugly game all around. Ohio State shot a lackluster 40 percent from the field and gave up 12 turnovers, while forcing 29 Liberty turnovers – a season high for the Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes played stellar defense on the way to a victory, but Ohio State head coach Kevin McGuff was unimpressed with his team's effort and focus.

"It was disappointing because our focus overall was really bad," said McGuff. "We're going to have to be much better against a really good Texas A&M team tomorrow because they looked excellent in their game today."

The Aggies downed No. 16 California 75-58 earlier today.

The Buckeyes' 3 pm match-up with Texas A&M is the teams third match-up against a top-10 opponent on the season, after facing both No. 1 Connecticut and No. 2 South Carolina to open the year.

"They're deep, talented, athletic, and play hard." said McGuff of Texas A&M. "It'll be a real challenge for us tomorrow."
