Big Ten Hockey announced its Three Stars of the Week today. The stars are awarded each week of the college hockey season to the three best performers among Big Ten players. This week the honorees are Penn State’s Peyton Jones, Ohio State’s Nick Schilkey, and Michigan’s Will Lockwood.

Schilkey was a key figure in the Buckeyes’ sweep of Bowling Green. He scored the game tying goal in Friday’s 5-4 comeback victory. Last Saturday he notched a pair of goals and chipped in an assist as the Bucks rolled the Falcons 6-1.

The Michigander’s four goals are a team best. He co-leads OSU in points along with rookies Ronnie Hein and Tanner Laczynski. (Each player has six total points.)

This is the senior captain’s fifth career star of the week award and the first for a Buckeye this season. Schilkey and Ohio State look to keep up the good work this weekend when the Bucks visit Niagara. Games are scheduled for 7pm ET starts on both Friday and Saturday.
