Ohio State's Team GPA Reaches 2.92 for Spring Semester; Highest Mark in 8 Years

The Ohio State football team's grade point average for Spring Semester is now official, and it's the highest its been in nearly a decade.

Led by a trio of players that recorded perfect 4.0 marks, the Buckeyes pooled together a 2.92 GPA. That is the highest team GPA in eight years, according to a program press release. It is also the third straight semester the average has gone up, and fourth out of the last five.

Center Billy Price, longsnapper Liam McCullough and defensive back Jordan Fuller all notched a 4.0 GPA this spring.

Additionally, 44 players reached a GPA of 3.0 or higher, according to the release.

The roughly two weeks after the NCAA released its Academic Progress Rate numbers, of which Ohio State recorded a 975. That is good for ninth-best in the Big Ten. The team's APR increased by four points from the year before.
