Things didn't look good with Ohio State trailing Michigan 17-7 midway through the 3rd quarter but the Buckeyes outscored the Wolverines 23-10 the rest of the way in a thrilling 30-27 double overtime victory

The win served as Ohio State's 5th-straight against the sun and gold and the 14th in the last 16 tries.

The pain train roared postgame as butthurt Michigan fans cried about a spot that appeared to be, well, spot-on instead of dwelling on the countless times the Wolverines shot themselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties.

Alas, college football has no time for revisionist history on the part of sulking coaches and fans. Speaking of history, here's a look at some of the updated numbers with one of the most incredible editions of The Game now in the books.

0-2

The Messiah, Jim Harbaugh, moved to 0-2 against Ohio State putting him in select company.

Harbaugh joins Rich Rodriguez as the only Michigan coaches to lose their first two games against the Buckeyes. The devil wearing khakis will try to tie Rich Rod's mark of 0-3 next year in Ann Arbor.

Michigan has had 15 coaches over the course of its existence face the Buckeyes. Four of those 15, including Jim, have a losing record against Ohio State.

27-27-2

With the win, Ohio State improved to 27-27-2 versus the Wolverines in the Shoe.

The Wolverines haven't won in Columbus since 2000, posting an 0-8 mark while being outscored 270-159. That's equates to an average score of 33.8 - 19.9.

5,852

It's now 5,852 days and counting since Michigan last beat Ohio State in the Shoe. And counting.

5

Urban Meyer is the only Buckeye coach to win his first five games against the Wolverines.

29

It has been 29 years since Ohio State came back from a bigger deficit than it did today to record a win over Michigan. The 1987 Buckeyes came back from a 13-0 deficit to defeat Michigan 23-20 in Earle Bruce's last turn at the helm in The Game.

11-1

Last but certainly not least, Ohio State moved to 11-1 since Desmond Howard showed just how classless he is singing The Victors atop the Shoe with boy band legend Nick Lachey ahead of the 2005 Texas - Ohio State game played in early September.

Nice pipes, Desmond. Glad to see your boys have done nothing but get piped ever since.
