There are still two weeks left in college football's regular season but the cream of the crop is starting to rise in terms of the nation's best players being named semifinalists for major awards.

That continued on Thursday, as the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced 15 semifinalists for its Player of the Year award. Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett and middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan are two players that made the cut.

A total of 128 FBS head coaches and sports information directors vote to determine the Walter Camp Player of the Year annually. Five finalists are set to be announced Wednesday, Nov. 30 with the winner taking home the trophy as part of ESPN's college football awards show on Dec. 8.

Barrett is one of eight quarterbacks among the semifinalists, while McMillan is one of three defensive players. Twelve different schools are represented on the list.
