The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon, which means Ohio State fans will witness the first matchup between Ryan Shazier and Ezekiel Elliott for since the practices leading up to the 2014 Orange Bowl.

What a crucial matchup it will be, too. Shazier, now a Steelers linebacker, will look to corral his former teammate, Cowboy running back Ezekiel Elliott, who leads the league in rushing.

Friday afternoon, Shazier met with Steeler media to discuss matching up against Zeke in 2013, while Shazier was already en route to a first-round draft selection and Zeke backed up Carlos Hyde, who now plays for the San Francisco 49ers.

Shazier says even back then, he knew Elliott would be in the Heisman running one day. He also couldn't remember Elliott trucking him or him "smacking" Elliott, but it's clear the two got after it during multiple practices during their one year as Buckeye teammates.

Dallas at Pittsburgh kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
