Ohio State made a statement in a 62-3 plastering of Nebraska on Saturday. The Buckeyes played well enough to move up to No. 5 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Buckeyes entered Saturday's game at No. 6 in the Coaches Poll. Ohio State's dismantling of previously No. 10 Nebraska made a statement for a team that had struggled for the previous four weeks. Ohio State jumped Louisville, who fell to No. 6 after a win over Boston College.

The top four had a little bit of change, as No. 1 Alabama survived a dog fight with LSU. Michigan, ranked second last week, fell to No. 3, with Clemson jumping them to No. 2. Washington remained unbeaten at No. 4 after blowing out Cal on the road.

Previously ranked at No. 10, Nebraska fell 10 spots to No. 20 after suffering its second-straight loss on the road to a ranked team. Wisconsin moved to No. 7 after taking care of business against Northwestern. Penn State was the biggest riser this week, moving nine spots to No. 14 after running over Iowa, 41-14 at home.
