If Ohio State is going to contain an explosive Oklahoma offense, it is going to have to do so without one of its starting 11 players on defense.

Dante Booker is in gym shorts and not warming up for Saturday's game against the Sooners. He also has a black brace on his right knee. A sprained MCL in that knee caused him to miss last week's 48-3 victory against Tulsa.

Urban Meyer upgraded Booker's status to probable on Monday. He then said the junior was questionable Wednesday for the contest with the Sooners after Booker did not practice much that day.

Ohio State listed Booker as a co-starter at WILL linebacker with senior Joe Burger on the depth chart Tuesday, as it did last week. While Burger played against Tulsa, sophomore Jerome Baker received his first career start and finished the game with five tackles and also recovered a fumble. Baker warmed up with the first-team defense Saturday.

Additionally, graduate senior wide receiver Corey Smith has a hefty cast on his right wrist and arm but warmed up and appears to be available.

Smith caught passes with the rest of the wide receivers during warmups.

Kickoff between Ohio State and Oklahoma is set for 9 p.m. ET after a weather delay.
