A woman filed two police reports early Friday morning in Columbus alleging Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott assaulted her while she sat in the driver's seat of her parked car.

The woman, who listed her occupation as "sex slave," later took to Instagram and tagged Ezekiel Elliott in several injury photos, alleging a history of abuse.

Elliott reportedly saved text messages that will exonerate him and show this to be a setup. He told police though he paid the woman's rent and co-signed on her car, they never lived together as she claimed.

So when NFL Hall of Famer and former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Mike Irvin was set to appear on The Rich Eisen Show, he knew he'd be asked about the controversy surrounding the rookie running back. Irvin called Elliott, who told him the truth would eventually set him free.

During his appearance, however, Elliott rang Irvin for a second time with a more detailed account of his side of the story.

As Irvin summarized, Elliott was out celebrating his birthday with friends and a club owner of "a spot." The girlfriend showed up to the spot uninvited, but they all went back to Elliott's house, where the alleged dispute occurred. Police interviewed four witnesses, including one sitting in the car at the time of the incident, and none of them corroborated the allegations.

Police are currently looking for surveillance video that could show the girlfriend's injuries occurred from an incident outside the spot, before she arrived in Elliott's company.

When asked directly, Irvin said Elliott told him he "never got within 10 feet of her."

When asked how Elliott sounded in spirit, Irvin said, he's "upset about the situation," repeated he doesn't hit women, and emphasized it's just a bad breakup.

No criminal charges have been filed against Elliott. The case currently rests in the jurisdiction of the Franklin County Prosecutor's office.
