Ohio State and Urban Meyer recruit the best football talent in the country into their program with every intention to send it to the NFL. There must be a plan for life after football, however, whether you turn pro or not.

That's why Meyer and the Buckeyes held their fourth annual job fair at the Huntington Club in Ohio Stadium on a sweltering Wednesday in Columbus. Athletes from the football, swimming, women's volleyball, women's basketball and other Buckeye athletic programs participated, but Meyer's group led the charge.

"We're taking it a step further, we're teaching you how to be able to provide, have a nice life, have something so when the football stops, the cheering stops, you can handle yourself," Meyer told his team moments before it mingled with close to 60 businesses and corporations.

In conjunction with Meyer's Real Life Wednesdays program, the job fair is an opportunity for football players to network and develop the groundwork for relationships for the future.

Via Twitter and Instagram, here are a collection of photos and videos from the event Wednesday.

Some Ohio State defenders even learned Wednesday was the birthday of an employee of Cameron Mitchell restaurants and did what was appropriate.

National champion and former NFL player Mike Doss even shared some words of wisdom, via the Ohio State football Twitter account.

Below is a tweet/link from the team's Periscope account of roughly an hour long video from the event.

Meyer also told 10TV's Dom Tiberi he is and his wife, Shelley, are set to be grandparents this December. Daughter Nicki and son-in-law Corey Dennis, who is a graduate assistant on Meyer's staff, are set to welcome their first child.

Senior center and captain Pat Elflein also told Eleven Warriors he gets rid of the sling on his left arm "in a few days." Elflein had surgery to remove a cyst in his shoulder earlier this summer.
