The annual ESPY awards will be held Wednesday night in Los Angeles. All gathered in one room on the west coast, the top athletes and teams in all of sports will be honored.

As the 2014 national champions, the Ohio State football team is up for three different awards. The Buckeyes are nominated in the Best Team category, going up against the United States women's national soccer team, Golden State Warriors, New England Patriots, Chicago Blackhawks and UConn women's basketball team.

But Ohio State has also received a pair of individual nominations. Head coach Urban Meyer is up for the Best Coach award along with Geno Auriemma, Bill Belichick, Steve Kerr and Mike Krzyzewski. Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones is also up for an individual award, Breakthrough Athlete, with Odell Beckham Jr., Mo'ne Davis and Jordan Spieth.

Jones, fellow quarterback Braxton Miller, linebacker Joshua Perry and running back Ezekiel Elliott were chosen to represent the Buckeyes, along with Meyer, in Los Angeles. Prior to leaving Tuesday morning, the four Ohio State stars caught up with the local media to discuss their upcoming trip.

Check out the videos above for comments from each of the Buckeyes prior to their departure.
