After Stan Drayton left Ohio State the day after National Signing Day to take a job with the Chicago Bears, there was quite an uproar from the camp of one of the Buckeyes' prized recruits in the 2015 class, Cass Tech running back Mike Weber.
Weber, a four-star prospect from the Detroit-area high school, was torn on Signing Day between Ohio State and arch-rival Michigan. He was clearly not sure about his decision, but ultimately wound up signing with the Buckeyes.
But the news of Drayton leaving the day after he signed with Ohio State seemed to surprise Weber. He took to Twitter to express his feelings after he found out.

But perhaps even more upset was Weber's head coach at Cass Tech, Thomas Wilcher, who expressed his frustration in a couple of radio interviews.
"You can't come up to the north with your pockets full and not give us respect," Wilcher told Matt Dery, a Detroit radio host. "That's not going to happen again." Wilcher went on to call it "a black eye" for the Ohio State program.
The Buckeyes quickly hired Tony Alford as their new running backs coach and things were quiet on the Weber front for a few days before he, again, took to Twitter to let everyone know where he stood.

That cemented Weber's status with Ohio State, but there were still lingering questions about the Buckeyes' ability to nab future recruits from Cass Tech because of how Wilcher reacted. Weber and teammate Josh Alabi came from the high school in this year's recruiting class while Ohio State landed Damon Webb from there in last year's class.
But after a since-deleted tweet which included a photo Thursday by Buckeyes cornerbacks coach Kerry Coombs, it appears all things have been smoothed over between Wilcher and the Ohio State staff.
