The growing legend of Joey Bosa added another chapter after the Ohio State sophomore defensive end became a unanimous All-American Wednesday night.

He’s the first Buckeye to do so since James Laurinaitis in 2007.

Bosa, who earned the honor after collecting first-team recognition from the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the Football Writers Association of America, the American Football Coaches Association and the Sporting News, joins an elite fraternity of only 27 Ohio State players to ever achieve such a status.

For the sake of perspective, that groups him with names like Troy Smith, A.J. Hawk, Mike Doss, Orlando Pace, Eddie George, Chris Spielman and Archie Griffin.

Bosa, who’s also the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year, leads the conference with 13 sacks and 20 tackles-for-loss.

Ohio State plays Alabama in the Sugar Bowl Jan. 1 in New Orleans.
