Four-star linebacker Antjuan Simmons included the Buckeyes in his top-four earlier this week. Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Arizona all rounded out his list of top schools. Today, the former Buckeye pledge announced his commitment to Michigan State.

The Ann Arbor (Pioneer) product surprised many when he committed to Ohio State last March. A three-star prospect at the time, there was some added intrigue to the commitment since his high school is directly across the street from Michigan Stadium.

Things took a bit of a turn in November when it was reported that the country's No. 20 outside linebacker was in East Lansing for a visit and appeared to be anything but firm in his Buckeye pledge.

Just a few short weeks after the visit, Simmons elected to reopen his recruitment. The decommit left the Buckeyes with no true linebackers in the 2017 class, but that all changed in December.

Five-star Baron Browning hopped on board just one day after the Simmons decommit, and one-time Notre Dame pledge Pete Werner – a four-star from Mount Vernon, Indiana – committed to the Buckeyes on Dec. 11.

Simmons is the first linebacker commit for the Spartans. His commitment brings Mark Dantonio's class up to No. 27 in the country.
